Welcome, Janice!! We're so happy to have you on board.
My favorite genre is definitely fantasy - I love new worlds and new peoples, magic and powers, and epic clashes between good and evil (though I'll also take all those morally grey characters too haha).

Honestly, I go through phases where I get really into specific genres. They are thriller, romance, horror, contemporary YA, and dystopian/post apocalyptic. I would say thriller and romance are the ones that get the most rotation.

I enjoy a wide variety of different genres, but favorite are Horror, Thriller (Suspense) psychological reads, Fantasy (Uptonian/Dystopian ) and Paranormal Romance.
Just finished Seven Faceless Saints.
Next up what have we done.

Currently reading: The Two Towers.

I thought it would be fun to get to know everyone by asking what your favorite genre is. My favorite genre is romance, if you couldn't tell by my previous responses to Joanna's weekly threads. I read everything from tame, sugary Hallmark movie tie-ins to the not so tame 50 Shades of Gray read-a-likes.
I don't know what it is about romances, even though I 99.9% know that the couple is going to be together in the end, I still pick up any brightly colored, cutesy cover that even hints at being a little bit romance-y. I guess I like my endings neatly tied up with a happy little bow, preferably a pink bow. It's about the journey of a romance, not just the happily-ever-after ending.
Let me know what your favorite genre is in the comments below. If you don't have a favorite genre, tell me what your favorite book or who your favorite author is?
