I will vote for In a Glass Darkly as I love the name no idea what the book is about and I have read almost all the others

Cool! going for melmoth the wanderer since it is the only one I haven't read (other than house of leaves which i have from the library right now)

As celebrating Halloween is a bit of a mystery to me and not enjoying horror anyway, I am just going to read my TBR this month - The Fall of the House of Usher

There are three I haven't read, and two of them have already been nominated, so I will wait for the voting!

I have not read: The Wasp Factory, Interview with a Vampire and Melmouth the Wanderer, although Melmouth is quite long for an additional read. I would also be happy to reread some of the classics of the genre.

I came across a nice copy of The Mysteries of Adolpho
on a free shelf last week, so I'd nominate The Mysteries of Adolpho
for our Halloween read. Gloomy castle setting and one of the possible influences of Poe... sounds like a good Halloween book. :)

I’ve read all of these except
House of Leaves and The Wasp Factory. I have both of those but never seem to get them read. House of Leaves was a Q read but I didn’t finish it.

Our winner is The Island of Doctor Moreau. I will post a new thread on October 1st. I was amazed at how many of you wanted to read Melmoth the Wanderer at 659 pages!
