I will vote for In a Glass Darkly as I love the name no idea what the book is about and I have read almost all the others

on a free shelf last week, so I'd nominate The Mysteries of Adolpho
for our Halloween read. Gloomy castle setting and one of the possible influences of Poe... sounds like a good Halloween book. :)
I will post a voting poll after we vote for October book of the month. Thanks for all the nominations so far.
I’ve read all of these except
House of Leaves and The Wasp Factory. I have both of those but never seem to get them read. House of Leaves was a Q read but I didn’t finish it.

Two books from the horror category that could be added are Interivew with the Vampire and The Bloody Chamber.
I would not mind a reread of Frankenstein.

I think I missed the nominations and was unaware of the voting. Any instructions on how this is suppose to be happening.
Our winner is The Island of Doctor Moreau. I will post a new thread on October 1st. I was amazed at how many of you wanted to read Melmoth the Wanderer at 659 pages!
If you have already read The Island of Doctor Moreau there is still the banned book challenge in October.
