Christy (blissbooksandjewels) | 247 comments Good morning team!

I have already been looking through my shelf, and believe I will start with this one unless I can find anything else that will work... Tearoom for Two (Tearoom Mysteries, #1) by Susan Page Davis

Table on front cover
Audio version was published in 2019 (according to Scribd...just need to confirm with Goodreads when I can get to a computer).

Yes, published December 9, 2019 so it works for the bonus. It only needs to fit one of the called categories to get the bonus. Hope you enjoy your read(s). 😊

Oh, I see now! I completely missed that part of the rules, but glad I have clarification now. So, we can read as many books as we want to that fit that weeks tags to earn the three bonus points plus the page points, correct?

Melanie (lovebeingvegan) | 9909 comments Mod
Yes, you can read as many books as you want. If they work for a called IT category then it earns 3 bonus points as well as the page points. If it doesn't work for any called IT categories that round, then you just get the page points. (Only books started on/after April 10th are eligible to earn the bonus).

Christy (blissbooksandjewels) | 247 comments Now that I have clarification on the rules, I have several on my shelf that will work. After I finish the book I listed this morning, I will be starting on Courage in the Storm (Johns Mill Amish Romance #3) by Laurel Blount . Horse is on the cover, and I know I'll be able to find a sentence inside that will count for the bonus points.

I have found these books this morning that all have tables on the covers. Not sure if any of these will help anyone.

Unanswered Prayers
Light in the Storm
Legacy of Secrets
A Place at Our Table
A Table by the Window
Screen Play
Mary's Son (available on Kindle Unlimited)
Tea for Two (available on Kindle Unlimited)
Pattern for Romance
A Family for Faith
Almost Home (KU)
The Preacher's Son
Bringing Maggie Home
Becoming Us
No One to Trust (KU)
Amazing Gracie
The Art of Romance

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments A Horse for Mandy by Lurlene McDaniel I thought that she might be leaning on a table, but I can't tell.
However it was published in 1981

message 14: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments Changed my mind I will read Almost Home by Valerie Fraser Luesse published in 2019 - good for table and 9.

The only drawback on this one is that it would not count for page points because it is less than 100 pages.

I'm just glad that we don't have a limit to the number of books we can read. I usually have 2-3 books going at once, and already this morning I've figured out how to get at least 3 books in this round. Hopefully, will have all of them read this week, and can find some others before this round is over.

I'm excited for the challenge!

Yannick Tricia | 53 comments I am going to read A Summer at Sagamore (Romance at the Gilded Age Resorts, #2) by Lisa M. Prysock and maybe Hosea and Gomer's Amish Secret (a family saga) (The Amish Bible Story Series Book 2) by Ashley Emma or Esther's Amish Bravery by Ashley Emma

message 17: by Christy (new)

Christy (blissbooksandjewels) | 247 comments Finished up my second book this morning, and hope to have one more finished by tomorrow. My normal pace is 2-3 books per week, but I've had some extra time and may be able to squeeze in a 4th one.

Yannick Tricia | 53 comments Hi team! I have just finished A Summer at Sagamore (Romance at the Gilded Age Resorts, #2) by Lisa M. Prysock and posted it on our team's score thread.
I'm going to start a new book tomorrow. Have a nice week

message 20: by Christy (new)

Christy (blissbooksandjewels) | 247 comments Hi ladies! Just making sure that we get all of our books submitted for this round since tomorrow is the last day for the current criteria. According to the scoring update that Melanie posted, I think there are a couple of members on our team that haven't posted yet. ♥

message 22: by Christy (new)

Christy (blissbooksandjewels) | 247 comments I will most likely be starting with I'll Be Seeing You by Robin Lee Hatcher . "Bridge" is mentioned in the book's text, and I have a commitment to reading it for a contest.

message 23: by Christy (new)

Christy (blissbooksandjewels) | 247 comments Another book where "Bridge" is in the book's text is In This Moment (Timeless, #2) by Gabrielle Meyer . Available on NetGalley.

message 24: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments I've started All Creatures Great and Small (All Creatures Great and Small, #1-2) by James Herriot There is grass on the cover and it was written in 1972. I am looking for bridge in the text.

Now that I *think I have a handle on these rules, the books only need to meet 1 of the criteria to qualify for the bonus points. It doesn't have to be all 3. When this challenge first started, I thought it had to be all 3 (kinda like when we did the Scattergories game last year).

Happy reading! I have heard that the tv show for that book (at least, I'm assuming there's a connection) is very good!

Melanie (lovebeingvegan) | 9909 comments Mod
Correct - only needs to meet 1 of them to get the bonus points. :)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4742 comments Hello, Team Morning! Melanie alerted me that Halle isn't able to finish out the game. I'll read back through the thread here to catch up on things, but what categories are we currently working on? I have a couple of books started since the game began that I hope will work for something.

message 28: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4742 comments I do have some editing and writing deadlines at the moment, so life is busy, but I will do my best to get 1-2 books done per week.

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4742 comments Hi, Christy! So glad to be here.

I just posted the four books I've finished since April 10 that qualified on page count. The others I've finished have been sub-100 pages, so they're disqualified, if I understand the rules right.

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4742 comments Posted an audiobook that I finished last night. It was due today, so I had to sneak it in quick around my editing work.

How's the reading coming along this week, team? Any fun or encouraging books you've discovered lately?

message 40: by Christy (new)

Christy (blissbooksandjewels) | 247 comments I just finished In This Moment today, and it was everything I'd hoped it would be - and then some! I read until 1am last night and finally convinced myself to go to sleep and finish the rest of it today.

It does qualify for the bonus if anyone else is interested in reading it this round, too. :)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4742 comments Ooh, I hear ya. I was up until 3 finishing mine (due today). Of course, the closer to the end of a Tracie Peterson book I get, the less likely I can pause until I finish, because she generally keeps me hooked well at that point.
A Veiled Reflection

It saddens me that it's probably been 3+ years since I last read one of her novels, and no telling how long it had been before that point. She writes SO MUCH!!

message 43: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4742 comments Yes, very prolific. She’s well over 100 books into her career now. I dream of being that prolific someday.

message 44: by Yannick Tricia (new)

Yannick Tricia | 53 comments I read the first book of the serie timeless by Gabrielle Meyer When the Day Comes (Timeless, #1) by Gabrielle Meyer it's one of the book I've read last year, can't wait to read In This Moment (Timeless, #2) by Gabrielle Meyer . I am not usually a big fan of dual time but this serie is so captivating
I'm curently reading a book by Rick warren Created to Dream The 6 Phases God Uses to Grow Your Faith by Rick Warren

message 45: by Yannick Tricia (new)

Yannick Tricia | 53 comments I have not read a lot of Tracie Peterson books but I really loved In Places Hidden (Golden Gate Secrets, #1) by Tracie Peterson I'd like to finish the rest of the books in the serie.

message 46: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4742 comments Ah! That book had such a great quest for truth. I enjoyed that whole series. You're in for a good one.

message 47: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4742 comments Just posted a couple of books I finished yesterday. I keep expecting my reading to slow down because of my deadlines, but I'm squeezing in some leisure reading time too, somehow.

message 48: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4742 comments What sort of plans do y’all have for the weekend?

I’ll be working on revisions for my new story, The Cottage on the Hill, which will be part of Wild Blue Wonder Press’s debut anthology, Springtime in Surrey. But I’ll also finish the last two chapters of my current read. I still have no clue who the murderer is in this cozy mystery, so I’m curious and wish I didn’t have to pause my reading at the moment.

message 49: by Christy (new)

Christy (blissbooksandjewels) | 247 comments I will be trying to squeeze in one more book before the weekend is over, but I already know that part of my weekend time will be spent watching the coronation!

About to go post one book in the thread now that I finished last night. :)

message 50: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4742 comments Sounds like a fun weekend. Enjoy!
