Elena Granger | 1805 comments @Laura here are my picks for you, hope you'll enjoy them :)

Orange:
This Woven Kingdom (This Woven Kingdom, #1) by Tahereh Mafi - something about this book is so captivating. I didn't read it, but the cover and the description...

Humor:
Would Like to Meet by Rachel Winters - I know nothing about the book, but seems cute and light.
The Color of Magic (Discworld, #1; Rincewind, #1) by Terry Pratchett - that's just... one of my old-time favourites, always funny, witty and lots of good vibes.

Bonus:
A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher - that title caught my attention.
A Memory Called Empire (Teixcalaan, #1) by Arkady Martine - it's neither humor nor orange, but it's a great book with amazingly beautiful language, interesting perspectives and lots of politics.
Among the Beasts & Briars by Ashley Poston - a very nicely performed, great fantasy stand alone. Has some north mythology vibes.
Hell Bent (Alex Stern, #2) by Leigh Bardugo - I've noticed you haven't read it yet. It is good, solid sequel, if you like the first book, you'll definitely enjoy the second.

Laura ☾ | 899 comments I have read Hell Bent actually and I loved it! I think goodreads acts up sometimes!

I'm torn between A Memory Called Empire, A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking and Among the Beasts and Briars!

The Tea Dragon Society (Tea Dragon, #1) by Kay O'Neill - Super cute

You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle - This made me chuckle

Orange

The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman - the details are fuzzy but I remember enjoying this!

Iron Widow (Iron Widow, #1) by Xiran Jay Zhao - this was an interesting fantasy take!

Tough choice indeed 😅

message 15: by Elena (new)

Elena Granger | 1805 comments I'm strangely fed up with romcoms (finishing a couple and switching to something else). So I'll probably go for either Clean Sweep as I meant to read it for ages but never started. And when I'm back into romcoms, I'll probably try The Bookish Life of Nina Hill or You Deserve Each Other. I know you've already picket that one for me several times, it wasn't just the right time to read :D I want to enjoy it and to be in a totally appropriate mood.

Laura ☾ | 899 comments I completely get that! But it’s worth a try suggesting it hehe

I hope you enjoy!

I finished Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking and it was fun, but I preferred Nettle &Bone from the same author.
