I'm setting this up a little early for any buddy read requests. Please post them here!

Not sure if this is still active but I would love to do a buddy read for Heidi by Johanna Spyri. I've tried reading this one a few years ago but DNF-ed because I wasn't enjoying the writing. I feel that I'd probably enjoy this one if I were to read this one with somebody else!
As I mentioned in the introduction thread, I have some things that are taking up my time but I would be willing to give this a go with you. Let me know when you'd like to start!

Let me know when you'd like to start!"Hello Cleo! I was thinking of reading Heidi next month. Not sure of when, but I am thinking that I want to pick it up early in July. I've been such a mood reader lately and I wanted to pick up something light. Even though, I'm not sure if Heidi is light? It sounds like it's going to be a fun read, though!
Rosemarie wrote: "I would read Heidi again. It's one of my favourite books."I am glad that you want to join in on the discussion Rosemarie! I feel that both you and Loretta would have a lot of insight to give about the book. :)
Ok, Tiffany! I might end up starting mid-month but I'll try for the beginning. I'll set up a thread now.

Since we had a buddy read for July, I thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone is interested in a buddy read in August and, if so, do you have a book you'd like to suggest?

It is a good idea. Does anyone have a book they'd like to read or suggest? If I don't hear from anyone, I'll choose one tomorrow.
I went through the group’s bookshelf and was surprised to see how many of the books I’ve read before!I made up a list of three pages of the books that I was interested in and then narrowed it down to a list that hopefully my library would have:
1. Stuart Little by E.B. White
2. National Velvet by Enid Bagnold
3. The Incredible Journeyby Sheila Burnford
4. Gentle Ben by Walt Morey
5. Cheaper by the Dozen by Frank B. Gilbreth Jr.
6. rebecca of sunnybrook farm Illustrated by Kate Douglas Wiggin
Obviously these are just my suggestions. I hope other members make suggestions too! 😊
Thanks so much, Loretta! I'd be interested in all of these, but probably least interested in #6 as I've read it in the last 6 years or so, but I'd even read it again.I'm surprised that you've read so many as I have some more obscure (but excellent) homeschool books on the list.
Does anyone else have any requests?

My pleasure Cleo!
Don’t worry about number six. I’ve listed others so it’s all good and I’m sure more members will make suggestions! 😊
So since we haven't heard from anyone else, we could either leave it and I can try again for September (it's summer, so people could be busy) or we can pick a book, Loretta, and just expect it to be the two of us. I'm good either way! Just let me know! 😊

Why don’t we just wait? It’s not like I don’t have books to read!
Sorry though that other members didn’t answer your question but, oh well! 😊
I've read 4 of the books on the list already, but I haven't read Gentle Ben and National Velvet. And I'm not interested in reading either one.I would read The Incredible Journey again any time.
Okay, let's leave it until September and see if any others chime in. If not, we can read
The Incredible Journey.

Just getting a count as to how many members are going to be reading The Incredible Journey starting September 1st?
Good morning ~ I am a new member and would love to join in on this read with you all. Thank you for all the lists and suggestions, so much time and effort!Looking forward to this read, first time for me. Enjoy your day!
