Hi! Just checking in and excited to play.I've played before, no burning desire to be captain but could do it, my timezone is U S. Pacific Standard, no brilliant ideas about team name.
ETA: my free space book will be Play of Passion from sos best of paranormal list.
Excited to join this round of BINGO. It's been years since I played my first game. :)I would prefer not to be captain.
Note to self:
shelf name, book title, date read, 1-5★ rating, and review
Found a list of team name suggestions at https://www.elitedaily.com/lifestyle/... if any sound good or if anyone has another suggestion.
"Pop, Six, Squish" struck me as funny for some reason. No meaning to me or to books. Liked "VI" and "The Hexa-Squad." Disliked "Six Feet Under."
So assuming I understand the Free Space correctly, I'm reading The Beyond by Chloe Neill. I just added it to the SOS Best of UF Shelf.
Unless there are more suggestions, my favorites are now "Triple Play" "VI" and "Pop, Six, Squish."Unless I did time zones wrong, I think there may be a shelf announcement within the hour. I'm not good with time zones.

Same! But I'm in the time zone and can confirm your time frame. LOL
Dread and Buried, #12 in Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries, is my read for "Detective" shelf. The hero plus side characters are police officers. Published just in time for BINGO.The first book in series, Southern Spirits is currently free and would also fit the shelf (and likely other upcoming shelves).

I really enjoyed the first book. I like Jones' humor. I have the first Southern Spirits book because I read a short story from the series a few years ago. I liked it, but I'm trying to hit my backlist reads hard and didn't add that series to my goals list this year. SV will be easy to cross off, because it's only two more books.

Review: This book is absolutely attention capturing! I'm not a lot for books that have detective like structure to them, but this book held my attention the entire time! The main character is very strong and holds her ground in many circumstances that a lot of these types of books do not in relationships! As someone with adhd, I tend to always jump ahead in books and know the end of books, which was not the case that was very refreshing! I highly recommend it it is worth your time spent reading!
Hey Debbie and Angie I hope your days are going amazing and I hope your reading is coming along awesomely as well!!! I have a favor I need to ask of you both... is there a way that y'all can use the set ups I have put below?I have ADHD and it makes it easier for me if it is organized this way. I would greatly appreciate it!

Review: As always for this paranormal cozy mystery series, a good book, fun read, with enough seriousness to add needed tension. It's #12 in the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries. I enjoyed it but not my favorite in the series because it didn't really seem to fit.
Leaving the small town setting without Lucy (pet skunk) and any familiar characters other than her love interest, sister and sister's love interest didn't work as well for me. Nor did the pirate ghosts and plot of hunting for pirate treasure -- which is partly just personal preference as I'm not into pirates or treasure hunts. Her sidekick ghost -- and former gangster -- Frankie barely made an appearance.
Just didn't fit rest of series. The MC's "voice" was the same but the other characters and plot were not. I think was an entry in the series intended to get MC over the hostility towards sister's beau who was her beau's partner -- or just because author wanted to write a pirate treasure hunt book. (view spoiler) I still think sister's beau is nasty to MC and she should not be too forgiving.
I may be influenced in saying that because of the author's note at the end talking about how into the treasure hunt and pirate stuff she was. But it didn't really fit for this series which had other books with trips away from their small town that I liked better.
I will still preorder the next in series; hopefully will have more of the gang and more of a familiar setting.

Review: Nine books into the Psy-Changeling series and still a favorite series. But not my favorite book in the series; lacked real suspense and had very little to move forward the overall arc of changes in Psy-Changeling council/net/Silence. Except for some cameos from characters in previous books, this one was mostly the romance between Indigo (righthand to alpha Hawke) and Drew (the pack's tracker and Riley's baby brother). A nice enough romance but a somewhat easy one. I liked both of them individually and as a couple but this was sort of a filler book to me.
I'm used to this series having edge of seat excitement and big reveals. A couple of might have been exciting bad guy attempts that were so immediately discovered it was unexciting and one new alliance (that should lead to future plot twists) among the Psy Councilors. Otherwise, it was a fairly predictable romance.

Review: A Good Day for Chardonnay is the second book Darynda Jones' Sunshine Vicram series, so my review will be vague to avoid potential spoilers. The hi-jinx really took off in this book, and I enjoyed the plot. I like how we got some answers to questions that remained from the first book, and I do love Sunshine's friendship with Quincy. I also like her dynamic with long time crush (if that's the appropriate word for this age...LOL,) Levi Ravinder. Such a sexy name, too! But Sunshine's daughter, Auri, too away some from me fully enjoying this book. There were times she just went too far, and I thought there should be more consequences for the things she'd done. I am still enjoying the series, though, and will be reading the final installment.
Thank GOD for audio, or I might not have made the deadline. LOL

I was asking about team name and captain because didn't see the posts where we voted.I'm happy to have Stephanie captain.
I'll go with "The Hexa-Squad" "Three Play" or "Pop, Six, Squish" -- whichever the two of you prefer.
ETA: I'm happy with our card, so far. May Day is a nice corner piece while Free Space and Detective line up.

I like the first two names more I like "The Hexa-Squad" best! I'm good with being captain unless someone else wants to be one! Just know this is my first time being one :0 and I have kids so I might not be able to get to the computer before y'all! I also have no clue how to link reviews to the word review!
If you all prefer The Hexa-Squad, I can change it. Just let me know.Stephanie said she prefers it, Angie will go with whatever & Debbie is on the fence :)
Stephanie wrote: "...how to link reviews to the word review.."I don't think that's required, you can just type something like "review is at http..." (right click or hold date/time of review post/comment to copy review link).
But if you want to do so, when making a comment click "(some html is ok)" at top right of comment box, then from the "link" bullet, copy from "< a" to "/ a>". Replace "my link text" with "review" and the in quotes link address "htt..." with link address of review.
For example, to link to my last review at https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... , enter the below text minus the spaces except where there's an asterisk:
