Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
2a ~ Create a master list in a post (preferably on the first page of your team's thread) and update it weekly or as often as necessary
2b ~ Post your team's stats on the Captain's Log prior to requesting a stamp
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week
4a ~ Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

Also, we are on vacation right now. Will be back in town this Sunday. Not sure if I’ll be able to see the first call until then.

I’m good with team name Nine Wicked Ninjas.
I’ve seen the shelf call and will pick my book when I’m home on Sunday 😊

Left 80 degrees to come home to 40s 😫
Found my book for this weeks call. Will post tomorrow when I’m on a computer

No wonder you didn't want to come home."
Yep :)
Luckily my sister picked us up and warmed up the car for us

This started out as a big info dump, then the MC had to find out the same information. We could've found out along with her instead of wading through all the guff.
The 2 MCs were ok in a bland dogooder way, no real tension. The only redeeming things were the town itself, Shadowvale, and Beckett.(view spoiler)
If I didn't know better I'd say this was a first book, but I'd enjoyed, in a solid 3 star way, the first Nocturne book a few years ago. Not sure what happened to this one.
I didn't enjoy having to wade through the story and forcing myself to finish as I read it for a challenge. Won't be continuing this series but I will try more of Nocturne Falls.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Another reliable story from JAK.
Lost Night Files, is a podcast, by 3 women who were strangers until they went to the Lucent Springs Hotel, lured there by the prospect of work. Something happened that night, including an earthquake & fire.
None of the 3 women have any memories of their time at the Hotel. Except waking up in a place that was off limits to guests and the place was on fire.
Pallas is an interior designer, but hasn't been able to work in her field since the event. Ambrose Drake is a thriller writer with 2 published novels, who also can't work after going to a sleep institute and thinks he was drugged and also witnessed a murder. He enlists Pallas to help him find the answers of what happened to all of them.
Reminiscent of other books with secret drug experiments (Founders Formulae anyone?) and a seaside location, this book delivers all the murder and mayhem and romance that anyone could want.

I love the pomp & circumstance so I watched it all on tv :D
All the beautiful clothes & embroidery was lovely.

I got to see bits of it on tv but plan on watching it on catch-up tomorrow. I do enjoy the pageantry of it all.

The Sea Wicche Chronicles is a spin off of the Sam Quinn series, first book The Slaughtered Lamb Bookstore and Bar. This new series is set in the same world with cameos from some of the characters in the original series.
Arwyn, is a half wicche and half fae, who is being pressured to join the Corey Witch Council, as she is the most powerful wicche of her generation. Her Gran & her mom are the other 2 Councillors.
She really doesn't want to join as her magic is very hard on her. She has visions but also takes on the emotions and injuries of the victims she sees. She is asked by a detective to help in a missing child case, she also finds out a Corey wicche has gone to the dark side ie become a sorcerer, and Declan is an alpha and she can't read him like she can everyone else.
Declan is a lone werewolf who shows up to do come construction on her art gallery, namely the deck which is over the water.
The other players in this story are the 2 starfish & Cecil the Octopus, and Herbert the tennis ball throwing seal.
This was an excellent first book in the new series, and also the original series is also still going, so more to look forward to.

If you need to change any of them, just let me know.
~Melissa~ have you picked a Free Space book yet?

Review: Luna is now Alex's mage apprentice and mage apprentices are going missing. Alex is asked to investigate. Sander is back to provide assist. Luna is getting better and learning more as apprentice and less surly teenager which was nice. Alex takes Ann and Vari under his wing (even though Vari is basically kicking and screaming the whole way). Alex's world seems to keep getting fuller with each adventure. Love the narrator. Series has a Harry Dresden for teenagers type feel to it. Looking forward to the next.

If you need to change any of them, just let me know.

I enjoy the Nocturne Falls series and the world building in the series and I expected more from this introduction to a new series. It was an okay read but didn’t wow. I missed the lifting of Gracie’s curse, normally if I miss something I will rewind that section and relisten, but the story was that underwhelming I couldn’t be bothered. Not sure if I will continue with this series.
