You know one of my favorite things about dramas is that they have endings. Because they have X amount of episodes to tell the story. Through strangely they sometimes still drag out.
Right!!! I remember trying to finish It Started With a Kiss and I abandon ship at about episode 10! And I'm still trying to get through Full House.
Faves. You're Beautiful, because it got me into K-dramas though it did drag out. Faith, Gu Family Book, The Master's Sun, Sungkyunkwan Scandal, The Scent of a Woman.
Also enjoyed To the Beautiful You and Vampire Prosecutor Season 1. I need to watch season 2.
Currently watching Birth of a Beauty, Protect the Boss, and Bride of the Centaury and I'm enjoying them all.
To be honest I watch more movies so I'm trying to watch TV shows. But I'm really picky.

I don't like movies that much for some reason the only movies I usually watch are movies from my childhood or if I'm stressed I'll take myself to the movies. I just finished We Got Married Season One. Taec and Gui Gui !!!!!!! aaaah Taecyeon (2pm) is so manly and cute yet funny but he really didn't show his feelings at all through the whole series so by the end I was really dissatisfied.
Gui Gui was the cutest and the best.
I think that the first Kdrama that I saw was Full House Take 2 and then I went back and watched the original. To me they didn't drag as bad as some of the most recent ones. I think this is because they add episodes based on popularity of the show so then they have to come up with things just to satisfy the fanbase.
With school I actually haven't watched to many dramas and I also tend to go back and re-watch because it helps me learn the language to repeat the same episodes then I don't have to look at the english and can concentrate on the korean and the story more.
I liked Heirs it was pretty good but It felt like a remake of Boys Over Flowers which I also loved. Everyone Hates Lee Min Hos perm but It was so cute to me. :)
He looks really weird now with short hair also looks like he might have gotten some more work done. His face just doesn't look real but I still love him.
I of course watched Boys Over Flowers and My love from another star. My love from Another star was another fan serviced add on there was originally only supposed to be like 20 episodes and they added an extra one which I think made the ending not as good. But the main characters are hilarious.
Lee Min Ho's hair in Faith is perfection. That's actually what made me fall in love with him. I need to go back and watch Boys Over Flowers. Now that the Manga and anime aren't so fresh in my mind.
Taecyeon. Taecyeon. Oh, Taecyeon. I saw him in this crappy drama (Cinderella's Sister) and he stuck with me. Gosh I love him. Watching him in Dream High and I adore him. He's my fave 2pm member.
Heirs bored me to tears. I'll probably try it again later, but not now.
Don't worry Chakara. I think I qualify as a drama newbie as well. Most of the shows I've picked up usually have a set amount of episodes and they don't add. Vampire Prosecutor is the only one I'm aware of that added a season 2 later.

It seems rare that Dramas go on for more than one season but I think its starting to become more frequent. I'm watching a Drama with Lee Min Ho now and its called Personal Taste. It's pretty good in a way it's similar to Boy over Flowers because the main girl is not a 'natural' beauty it's also like a mixture of Full house Lee Min Ho moves in with her because he is a architect and secretly wants to do something with her house (not sure what ) she lets him move in because she thinks he is gay and then they start to get close and fall in love. He is helping her become more womanly and blah blah. I'm on ep 7 :)
Also I think Taec is much more handsome now that he's all grown up. He gave up his American citizenship and he said something about getting corrective surgery so he can go into the military in Korea but I'm not sure anymore as I think he is attending graduate school now.
Shera, do you watch Korean movies? So many good ones! Masquerade was amazing.
Chakara, thanks for the eye candy! ;) Handsome fella for sure!

I finished Personal Taste with Lee Min Ho and now I'm off to City hunter. I am a lil upset because it is marketed as Action Thriller but he spends most of his time with the romance and love triangle/square.

As far as my type of guy Taec certainly meets those points more than Lee Min Ho Minho does to much make up but he was my first Hallyu crush so even though he doesn't meet my type I still love him.
Okay so I am only watching City Hunter on weekends with my little brother he has convinced himself that Lee Min Ho is related to Jet Lee lol.I started on Faith: Gods Doctor and it is really good. I love how they always but a little bit of his real personality in his characters. I wonder if they specifically make these roles for him and he doesn't even have to try out. I like how they put the sleep all day long thing in there and the fishing because those are two things that he actually does. He said if he is stressed out he will just go to sleep and if he wakes up and is still stressed out he will go pack to sleep and has admitted to sleeping 24 hours straight sometimes. He also loves to fish. He's also really shy around girls. Why he would fear rejection I'm not sure HE'S LEE MIN HO but he says that he's never had the courage to ask a girl he likes for her number he will get his friends to help him. He also uses polite Korean all the time which they put into his characters even when the main female lead is like 'lets drop formalities' he's like 'No.' lol.
So Back to Faith.
I am on episode 18 the main girl is getting on my nerves a little bit she is the stupidest doctor.
That part was funny though when she was cursing the bad guy and was like HEY YOU! F.U.C.K! GO! TO ! HELL! lmao.
Also Leemin ho is always talking about wanting a girl friend and wanting to learn English why can't he just kill to birds with one stone and date me????? :)
LOL, Chakara! It'd be nice if we could get away with sleeping 24 hrs straight! If I were an actor, I don't think I'd like it if my characters were so similar to me, I'd feel so exposed! Everybody would know my foibles, LOL. It's like reality TV at that point, really. Maybe that's the point.
Oh my god, it's been forever since I've been on goodreads, but I had to stop by and say OH MY GOD, YOU GUYS ARE INTO K DRAMAS?! I'm obsessed. What about Kpop? Do you keep up with it? I don't even listen to American music anymore, haha.I'm rewatching It's Okay That's Love right now because I'm in love with Jo In Sung. That Winter The Wind Blows is the best! Eunji and Kim Bum are one of the cutest secondary couples.
I'm also pretty obsessed with Eric. Que Sera Sera and Discovery of Romance were amazing and I'm finishing up Spy Myung Wol. Also, the new song Sniper from Shinhwa is pretty catchy. They've still got it!

I have a free week of Dramafever and I think I'll try to watch It's Okay That's Love next. I run off of pure recs when it comes to Kdramas because honestly some are really good and some are really really really bad. I tried to watch Fools Love...What the F was that? I couldn't get into it.
The language is so fun also.

I'm really surprised he doesn't have that good of a grasp of English he has a degree in Theater and Art I think so I guess they didn't have to take an English Language class? Or maybe he is not a classroom learning. I pick up languages better on my own. Maybe if he had an Native English speaking girlfriend or friends that could help him. hmmm.
I watched a sighting at LAX it was so scary how can people crowd someone like that and push and get cameras all in their face and touch him. That's so scary not to mention rude. To make matters worst he's 6'2 and the only guy they had to protect him was like 5'1 puny and was getting knocked around like crazy. I should be his manager because thats unacceptable.
LOL, his manager! I bet. ;) But you're right, that is really scary! Sounds like he definitely needed more protection.
Hey, Lyndsey! Long time, no see! ;) Other than replaying a few songs like "I Am the Best" now and then, I don't really follow KPop. Shannon introduced me, LOL. If you have suggestions, shoot! :)

Oh geez, there are way too many reccs I have, lol. For some good eye candy, you might want to check out Bangtan Boys (BTS) since they are coming to do a concert tour in the US in July. Just One Day

Hey, that group ripped off Kendrick Lamar! LOL.

But I guess it's a good message. Still, always was a little annoyed by how Kpop appropriates hip hop... Ah, well.

TAEC vid. You cruel woman!
Yes! I've converted another Faith fan! Actually the role was made for another actor, but he went on his military duty earlier than expected.
I agree. The female doctor can be so stupid. It pisses me off in K-dramas how often they have to make the lead stupid despite the fact that she is supposed to be strong and smart. That's one thing I wish K-dramas would keep messing up. Strong leads.
Once I wrap up one of my dramas I'll probably finally start up My Love From Another Star! I did drop one show so I started up You're All Surrounded. Almost dropped it a few times but it keeps reeling me back in.
Yes, NU! I love K-movies!! I've been having a hard time watching them lately . . . But I want to watch Masquerade so bad!

Lyndsey. Me. Love. K-pop. So much!
Eric the singer? Yes, I'm obsessed with him too right now. There isn't anything I can't do right.
Also, my fave female K-pop group right now is Spica.
Are you waiting with bated breath for CL's US debut? It's coming! I really don't want the record company to back down. Especially since this kind of broke up 2NE1.

NU - nooooo, they didnt rip off anything. It's just a Korean cover version. Tons of artists do them. They're paying homage because they're actual fans of American hip-hop. That's not a song that they sell or make money off of. BTS is the real deal in such that they write their own music and lyrics and are involved in lot, instead of just doing as they're told with many idol groups.Yay Shera!! They keep saying that 2NE1 isn't broken up, though. I'm just worried that if her debut isn't good, it will look bad for more Kpop US crossovers. It better be really really good! The Wonder Girls didnt work out here very well.
I honestly think one of the boy groups might have a better shot if they could sing full songs in English. They do it for Mandarin and Japanese! Why not English too :-(
I'm really liking a lot of the new girl groups. Sonamoo, Mamamoo, CLC, Gfriend and a few others. I haven't really gone back to catch up on previous girl groups as much. Oh and AOA is super cute!
Right now, I'm not finished being obsessed with BTS yet. And I recently got pretty into VIXX and Teen Top. And of course, my ultimate solo bias is G-Dragon.
Ah!! I love Vixx! I haven't been paying attention to the new debuts lately. AOA is cute, they're kind of a guilty pleasure for me. But I actually like Tiny-G better.
I do think a strong boy group would do better. The little girls will flock. Wonder Girls . . . weren't handled right. Wrong demo. Even the girl groups need to be strongly targeted to girls, they kind of had the right idea but everything was done . . . on no name things. And when they were debuting in the US the info was hard to find for the tour and what not.
They have CL, if they give her a decent shot. (No money skimping and adv right.) She already has a huge following the US the fans will come, and most likely convert others. ^_- I really hope they aren't broken up, I feel like YG had finally started to do things with them.
Oh, and I'm still waiting with baited breath for their new girl group! I feel like it will be years before they finally debut them.

Yeah, YG is fairly notorious with taking FORever to debut new artists it seems. Except with Akdong Musician. They were out almost immediately after KPop Star ended. I guess it helps that the 17 year old brother already had over 50 songs written. They are really incredible. Like true prodigies. There's one of Tiny G's songs that I was trying to learn the dance to because it was really cute. Miss You, I think. Otherwise I haven't heard many of their songs.
I mostly know newer or more recent stuff because I signed up for the Korean TV package with DirecTV so now I get Inkigayo, Music Bank, Music Core and some other variety and music shows to watch every week. Also I have ETNKpop channel on my AppleTV that I just play MVs on when I'm doing stuff around the house. Do you watch Superman Returns or Roommate? I'm in love with those two reality shows.
Did you hear about Lee Min Ho and Suzy dating? She seems SO young. I still kind of ship him with Gu Hye Sun or Park Min Young. But he and Suzy would look very pretty together though.
Actually, that reminds me - Have you seen the Pretty MV from Infinite H?

Woowwww the role was not even made for him? he is good! I wonder if they changed things in the script to fit him though because thats a lot of stuff to have in common by coincidence. I've watched that Taec vid a few times. I feel like a pervert just a lil bit.
Yeah I was watching a video from a guy who works for one of these companies he is apart of their private English teaching academy or something therefore they provide him housing in the same crappy buildings they force these k groups to habitat. They share studio apartments, eat noddles and have no furniture what so ever. Plus some of them are drunks and smoke all the time and are actually really rude. It's a shame that they only make 300 dollars a month as popular as Kpop is.
Oh also this is my third comment sorry I keep thinking of more things I am now watching Fated to love you. I only have 5 more episodes and I'm starting to feel annoyed by the main girl as always. The whole drama is basically just like all the others that came before it. Memory loss, time jumps, shy girl who returns 'not shy' love triangle when the 2nd guy is obviously the best and greatest and prob to good for the shitty main girl who will choose the awful first guy. But,, I'm a bit addicted and I like to hear the language after a day of studying.

Miss You is one of my fave! And the dance is tons of fun!
Thanks for the Infinite share. Been so behind this year!
I just stalk the Youtube channels to keep up with things. But like I said I'm so behind. So far I've only been tuning in for Gain's debut. Gosh I love her!
Oh, Lee Min Ho and Suzy! Suzy does seem super young, but I do think they look good together. Here's hoping fans don't go cray-cray.
NU. No worries. I love all the covers they do. Whether they're doing covers of other k-pop groups/singers, or American singers. I actually preferred the vocals Let It Go by a Korean singer more than the US release.

True. Gosh, I hope they do a drama together!!! >_< The fan girl in me is having a serious scream and dance about fest.
Finished You're All Surrounded, it was OK. My full review is here.
Blood is really surprising me finished up to episode 11 and I really like it.
Started up I Hear Your Voice, and it's awesome! One of the best first episodes I've seen in forever. Plus, the story and everything about this drama seems perfect.

I haven't finished Fated to love you I have like two episodes to go. I also didn't watch the last episodes of Faith because I felt I would be disappointed so I just read a summary. I watched Playful kiss starring the other guy from the love triangle in Boys Over Flowers. I'm not sure if I like his acting style of him for that matter (I think the police charged him last year for domestic violence and he admitted to it so I'm iffy on him) he is funny on We got Married though.
Its OK That's Love is one I want to see!
I loved the ending of Faith!! Totally teared up and it made me happy!

its On Netflix! very good and more western in style than the normal drama as far as fleshing the characters out and making them real its awesome so far.
I'll catch it on Dramafever. With my internet service streaming Netflix would be a waste of money.
Though I like hearing about more dramas with well fleshed out characters.

I have been watching something called I Hear Your Voice and it is so good. Besides the things in the court room that would never actually happen everything else is good. I also skipped over two the second season of Roommates but I think the show got canceled so is hard to find subs. I actually watched about 20 minutes of an episode before I realized it wasn't subbed and I couldn't find subs so I might still watch it and keep up with my beginner level korean as much as possible. It features some of the old cast and also this guy name Jackson from this group GOT7 he's something else really entertaining to watch and always makes ya laugh I feel bad having a crush on him because his like 19/20 years old. Ughhh im so an Aujima or better yet cougar lol.
Is dramafever trippin for anyone else? I've been using youtube more than dramafever.
I didn't finish It's Ok thats Love yet because it was pulling at them heart strings so hard I am not in the mood to ball like a baby. It's wonderfully written and some what unique for a Kdrama though.
I Hear Your Voice is something I'm watching as well, it's turning out really good! Pretty sure it's a fave.
Chakara,Roommate is on DF and Hulu. Full series. I feel bad because I kind of quit with season 2.
It was fine when I junked out last week, but I haven't used DF recently. Though I plan to. I know they've been making changes and stuff.

Yes roommates is there but its missing subtitles for the 2nd season past certain episodes. I guess since it got canceled they decided it wasn't worth spending the time to sub it.
I get a black screen a lot on dramafever.
I finished I Hear Your Voice not sure how I feel about it in the end but I like the main actor. I am now watching him in Pinocchio and I am also watching Producer with my Bae from my love from another star.
Hmmmm. Mine are working. Set your subtitles back to default and see if that fixes the issue. (It has for me in the past.)
Oooooo! I am such a slow drama viewer. It probably doesn't help that I've got 10 going at a time.
You know I'm really liking Blood. I'm holding of watching Orange Marmalade until I finish it though. I don't want to mix up my vampire dramas!
