IS IT WORTH IT?? !!(no spoliers please)!!

I read without Caraval and really enjoyed it!

It's my most fav series ever. It's SO worth it!

"Is it worth it?" Is that even a legitimate question? I don't want to start ranting on my love for this series, so I will simply say:

YES!!!!

(also, reading Caraval first is SOOO much better than just jumping right into OUABH)

ITS SO GOOD PLS READ IT <33

this trilogy is one of a kind, and to this day I have only found one other trilogy I liked about as much as it (which would be the Cursebreakers trilogy). PLEASE read it. I still haven't read Caraval but this series would be perfect even if it wasn't a spin-off

This book is so beautiful.

I recommend reading the Caraval series first as it gives more insight to the Once Upon a Broken Heart series.

Pegi Foulkrod Definitely agree. Loved this series and helped fill that empty feeling after Caravel when some characters showed up.

This is great! I didn’t read Caraval first- so I didn’t get a lot of the allusion but when I reread it after I understood a lot more about Jacks and the Fates.

100%!

YESSSS my top 3 series tbh I loveeeeeeeee love love it. the characters, the world... I recomend it to everyone I love. I read it before caraval and actually it didn't make any difference. I still understood it very well so you don't need to read the whole caraval series first.

YESSSSS SO WORTH IT

Yes!

I did really think this book is worth the read especially if you go in blind. I just finished A Curse For True Love and I am now a little obsessed with this series lol.

IT IS SOOOO WORTH IT!!!! I do recommend reading Caraval before OUABH because it set’s it up really well and makes it super exciting when you meet the Caraval characters but you really don’t have to.

I would definitely recommend this book! It sets up the sequel perfectly. It is 100% one to read.

Yes a thousand times YESSS!!!
+You don't have to read Carval to enjoy and understand this trilogy.

IT IS SO WORTH IT!! I LOVE THIS BOOK TO THE MOON AND BACK<3333
And yes, I think you should read Caraval so it will make more sense to you when you are readinf ouabh.

Definitely recommend the second book is my favorite, i would reread it again and again

You can read it without reading Caraval first. I read it without reading the Caraval and I still loved it!!

It is totally worth it. Caraval was just ok. but OUBH is AMAZING. one of my most fav books of all time. would highly recommend

Yes, it is 100% worth it! I read it without Caraval so you're good on that front but then I read it after I read Once Upon a Broken Heart anyway because it has Jacks in it (and I wanted more of Jacks :))

I read it without Caraval and got along fine.
It was just okay though.
UNTIIIIIIL, I read Ballad of Never After. Then the whole thing became amazing and I just bought Caraval to get the full history and be ready for the final book coming out soon.

It's really worth it, I swear to you!! And you don't need to read Caraval before to understand the history.

YES YES YES

Yes, if you want to be immersed in a magical kingdom with cute creatures (you will know what I mean when you read it) and an air of mystery with a fierce and likeable protagonist that will do anything for the sake of happiness (against her better judgment). I have read Caraval series before reading this and I'm glad I did because it gave me insight to the anti-hero's perspective and it made reading this felt more complete. BUT you certainly do not have to read Caraval because it's 3 books and it's a serious commitment if you just want to read this series. This is such a cozy read and you will finish it in no time. :D Hope this helps!

Oh yes this is TOTALLY worth it. I'm re reading ittttt
It's just toooo goodddddd

I read without reading Caraval first and you 100% don't have to but if I got a do-over then I would have read Caraval first and then this series. I loved these books and think that they are the absolute perfect amount of fantasy and magic. I wouldn't hesitate another moment!

Only if you are prepared to absolutely fall in love with the male mc. He will be all you think about for the next months of your life and you will not regret it. In all seriousness, a thousand times yes! This series got me back into the fantasy genre. I would probably wait until the final book comes out later this year to read it though.

I read it without reading Caraval and I don't feel like I missed anything at all! But I will say personally it took me awhile to get really invested in the book but omg when it got good it got GOOD.

It's totally worth it! It is very beautifully and magically written. I wasn't able to put it down and forgot that Iwas reading it. I loved the Caraval series too but I think this one is better. And THE SEQUEL was devastating. I cried too much at the end. It is the most beautiful YA fantasy romance I've ever read.

It is so worth it! You don’t need to read Caraval before, but you should. It helps the little things make more sense.

I read the Caraval series first and I highly recommend it for the sole reason that you get more time with Jacks and get to understand him a little better.

However, even if you don't read Caraval first, you MUST read this series! I'm so in love with this! I cannot wait until the 3rd book comes out in September. This series will keep you wanting more and, on your toes, the entire time!!!!!!
