My wip is set in spring. (But the season doesn't have much effect on it. The only time I really mention the season is because they go on spring break.)
My story starts in the fall months, slowly leading into winter where the climax is (planning on leaving it on a cliffhanger hehe).
I've actually not given it much thought yet, but I'm thinking Autumn and Winter (so its easier to express the populations struggling)
My current WIP takes place at a summer camp… so it’s summer during the whole book!! But I have a lot of ideas for a mystery novel set around Halloween that I haven’t started but maybe will eventually!!
My first one was set in winter to represent their struggle and then gradually went to spring as new things started to blossom (kinda basic ik). And then my current one is based in winter because the secondary couple has a destination wedding and also i’m writing a hallmark-esk novel. So of course winter has to be the season with all of the holidays
My first story was set in autumn, and the sequel was set in the following spring, with winter happening between books. The third book, which I am waiting to write until I polish the first and second books, will be set in summer. The story I'm currently working on doesn't have an established season yet, but it doesn't matter much, since it's set in an entirely underground world.
Um... the season doesn't matter in my story, because it is off-earth. But the start takes place during the school year.
One of mine is set in fall, and another in spring. I feel it's really important to match the season to your story.
