Read a book set between 1940 and 1970
For this one, does the whole book need to be set during this period? I am reading one set between the 1950 -1990s, guess that won't count right?

If more than 50% of the book is set before 1971, you're good. Otherwise I'd suggest going for another book.

Can I use One Italian Summer for the set in a hotel task? During most of the book, the character resides in a hotel during vacation. It is more about travel though but the hotel individually also plays a role in the magical realism loop.
