So I was very excited to find out that I won Foer's Eating Animals yesterday on TNBBC (thanks Lori) and then I come into work today to find that I won another book Hummingbird by Joshua Gaylord. I never win anything and I am so excited to have been chosen.

Has anyone else entered contests on here? And has anyone ever won? (I know you have Jeremy!) I enter all the time but never won and now I won twice!

Congratz! I've won several books, but haven't one anything in quite awhile. I guess it's okay since I've got so many other books I need to read.

I must say that I'm jealous that you won Eating Animals, but I'm so glad that somebody I know on hear won a copy! Be sure to let me know what it's like!

'Eating Animals' is on Oprah's new list (if that means anything! haha!) It sounded really good!

I have had some luck in recent weeks. I recently won 2666 and am loving it and prior to that I won Across an Endless River. Around the same time one of my aunts randomly sent me a book. My whole reading lineup was altered for the past month. I also scored a copy of Eating Animals through a similar process as TNBBC. I can't wait for that one!

Nothing compares to goodreads. I just signed up at library thing because the book sounded interesting. I actually haven't been back there since. It just doesn't have the homey feeling that goodreads has. I briefly looked at shelfari, and couldn't even be bothered to make an account? Does anyone here use these?

oh, now wait a minute! are you telling me that GOODREADs is giving books away? I didn't even know that! is there a place to sign up? :) I'm needing a little good karma here myself. One of my favorite authors, Elizabeth Hoyt, is on shelfari, but I did send her some emails about Goodreads. Also, an author my husband runs into occasionally wrote some cool vamp books, and I told him he should create an author account here. He said "okay, why don't you do that for me?" As if! Only if paid

Well, I know that you can go under browse books and there is a folder for giveaways and if you look in the upper right corner there is a link that allows someone to do a giveaway so...

There you can also enter in muliple contests too.

Click on Find Books, which you can then find free books. It will tell you whether your country is allowed to do or not.

I won the same book. They gave away like 500 copies.

I just won The misunderstood GOD by Darin Hufford, I haven't heard anything about this one. This isn't one I would have bought but its free and I won something so well see how it goes.

I still haven't received Truly, Madly A Novel yet. I contacted her and she said it was going out last week but I have yet to see it.

I just received Paulo Coelho A Warrior's Life - The Authorized Biography and it's a doozer. It's a big read. I might have to wait it out until the end of the year but I am looing forward to reading it!
