What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read a story a few years ago that was great. The father and son live under a city, and they have to hide their faces because they believe that their faces frighten other people. The story goes on about them having to live underground because people are frightened of them the boy meets a girl I think, and somehow learns that his face is not scary at the end of the book they find out that their faces are just too pure for normal human beings to look upon. People can’t look at them because their goodness frightens them.
