Hi and welcome. Happy reading. You may not like this one because it is very heavy, but hang in there with us because soon we will be reading Watchers and that is probably his most popular Stand Alone.
Welcome to Koontzland Olivia. Goodreads takes a while to get familiar with :-) Thanks for joining us!
I don't know where to ask this but I vaguely remember a Koontz book with a woman, man,dog and kid being chased from southern California and the end up in Idaho or Montana or somewhere in mountains and there is something frightful just past the trees.Ant ideas or was I dreaming?
Mary that sounds like The Servants of Twilight....one of my favorite Koontz books....and yes.....pretty scary!!

Ha Ha. I don't know everything, but I'm willing to guess once in a while :-)

Thanks, Dustin. Parts of the story have been rolling around in my head and driving me crazy. I want to read that one again.
Founf Large Print. Just started and it begins with a boom! I expected Denzel Washington to come walking through the smoke! Ha Ha.
Servants of the Twighlight was the very first book I read back in high school at least 25 years ago. It was then published under the pseudonym Leigh Nicholls. I was hooked.

I need to re-read that one sometime.

I don't remember much from The Servants of Twilight. I think I've only read the book once. Will definitely have to re-read it :-)
We can always feature a book as a Mini Group Read :-) If three or more people are willing to read the same title during the same one month time period, we will feature it. I'm in for Servants of Twilight and I missed reading 77SS when it was featured as group read a couple of months ago and I still would like to re-read that too.
The Mini-Group Read Thread has been resurrected:

My name is Olivia, I'm 25 and from NY. I love Dean Koontz. Just checked out What The Night Knows from the library to start reading along with you all on the 15th. I look forward to meeting other Koontz fans and exchanging thoughts!
