I personally think writing in first-person is more fun to write and read. As a writer it allows you to actually get to know your character and as a reader you get to know what the character is thinking which I find more interesting.
I tend to write mostly in third-person, and I've found that I can put little snippets of thought in here or there. For example: 'Holy sh!t, he was royally screwed.' Or, 'She grimaced, thinking about the hectic day to come.'That way, I can get the best of both worlds. :3
third person is more fun for me to write because i like giving the narrator more awareness of the story and it’s details than the character does. I think it’s called something like a Bubble Narrator?? like they’re watching the story from a bubble, idk. but a good example of it is The Book Thief, and i just think it’s cool so i try to use that method when i can.
I usually just let the characters choose, or do whatever vibe it’s giving off ig, I just go with whatever is happening and just okay along. It’s not my story it’s the characters story
