Hi everyone! I'm looking for recommendations for books with great body horror. It is one of my absolute sub-genres to read from :)

The Rust Maidens?
It is mine as well! I am actually teaching a virtual writing workshop on this in October: https://austinbatcave.org/product/bod...
Some of the works on the reading list are:
Fruiting Bodies by Kathryn Harlan
Eat the Mouth that Feeds You by Carribean Fragoza
Sister, Maiden, Monster by Lucy Snyder
Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder
These are just a few, hope they resonate.

I follow an Instagram page called baker_reads (he mostly reads horror) and he recently recommended these body horror books: Sister, Maiden, Monster
Meat
Maeve Fly
The Beauty
The Summer I Died

I love Brendan's page! I cannot wait to get my hands on Maeve Fly. It's one of my most anticipated books coming out this year.
Thank you, Jen!
blood music by greg bear is almost body horror - blood cells become intelligent and change the whole world.I know of one indy with interesting body horror - but the most unmemorable title ever
Two really GREAT scenes though
THE HYPHAE STRAIN: MOLD 69
by vON kRAEMER (Author), Jim Burns (Illustrator)

We prefer authors limit their self promotion to the Author/Publisher Promo section, not the general discussion threads.

I just finished The Troop and it was some of the most harrowing body horror I've read. Disgusting. I loved it. (new to the group and not actually sure how to quote someone else in my reply)
Thanks everyone for the recommendations, just started the Troop and recently read and loved Maeve Fly, highly recommend. Don’t know if it’s really body horror but it is weird and twisted!
