I just came back from a wonderful lecture by Charles Montgomery about his book. I won't say much as I don't feel qualified to write much since I haven't finished his book; however, I will say I throughly enjoyed his lecture. I left understanding that city planning and human emotion cannot be treated as two separate entities. Where we live and work is personal and it is not just a matter of design. It is hard to put personal concerns into a peer-reviewed study I would argue. All in all, it was a great lecture and I look forward to reading the rest of the book and more of his other works.
