The Quad discussion

The concept of a guy wondering around the country under the radar happening into murder and mayhem and always getting his girl sounds corny but to me Childs makes it work.

I've heard you mention it before but I know next to nothing about it. Kind of like "A Walk Across America" but add blood, guts and sex?

Here is the first paragraph of his last offering....

It's two a.m. in Manhattan on a subway car hurtling uptown. Jack Reacher sits sprawled out, heading nowhere in particular, observing his environment. A few tired faces; some weary men and women. Nothing remarkable in that, unless you have Reacher's training. Because the woman he sees sitting across from him is the textbook example of a suicide bomber.

I've read one or two of the Reacher novels. They are pretty far fetched and a little corny, but I've read a lot worse.
