Childrens book read around 2004-2007 I believe there was a boy named glen or the town was called glen something and there were 3 friends who adventured up the hill in their town and i think some old hag lived up there. Not fantasy.

I can't remember much about this book, but I believe there were about 3 main characters one might've been named Glen or Glenn and another boy and possibly a girl and they went up the hill where some old hag lived, that's all I remember. The name of the town also could've had Glen in it. I never read the whole thing, but I remember liking it and I would like to read it still.

Was it a middle grade novel? And can you remember the source of the book you read? (School library, or Kindle, or secondhand book dating from the previous century, etc.)?
Yeah it was like 4-5th grade level I think and it was read to us in school or I read it myself at school. I can’t remember which.

It was not fantasy I think it was contemporary. Just a childhood novel.
Holy cow, I don't know if I'm mixing up stories or what happened, I could've just remembered incorrectly but I think I found the book and it's called The Ghost of Fossil Glen. I hope that's it anyway cause the name sounds really familiar, I'll have to read it to be sure but man I was way off.
