Christmas in July Book Exchange discussion

* You MUST sign up on Elfster in order to participate. This is where the matches will be done and where you can set up a wish list (or a link for your GR wish list which is so much easier!) Sign ups are open until 7/1/2023. You will then have until 7/31/2023 to send all of your gifts!

* The gift amount should be around $15. You can do as much as you want, but you should really try not to go below $15.

* Ebooks are the easiest to gift, and that is what we tend to do here!

* Keep in mind that it is difficult for people in one country to gift to others in a different country, especially with Amazon. Please list where you prefer to get your books from.

Omg so I thought I was signed up!? I had clicked on the link from the mm email that sent me to Elfster. So then just now I found this link and wondered. So I went back and I tried the other link again and it said not found? So I clicked on the Elfster link for these threads and I guess I signed up. That was weird! I almost missed it! :(

I was invited to the Christmas version of this a couple years ago and love it, been doing it since. Had no idea about Christmas in July though! :D

I'll have to go through and edit my Elfster now. :)

I don't know how many of you have seen this on your social media or received news via newsletters.

AMAZON HAS DONE IT AGAIN 🤬 They are taking down the existing tags and shoving books that don't fit their personal (Bezos's?) tastes to the far end of their book collection.

I am subscribed to "Author Leigh Jarrett Newsletter - Amazon is burying sexy romance" and found her summary and attached tips extremely useful. You can either subscribe to her newsletters or follow this link:

I have finally switched to Smashwords and other independent publishers. I hope that if we continue to vote with our money, it will encourage authors to not publish with Amazon.

I went to send a gift to my person from Amazon, however, I don't see their email. I remember last year they changed it and put it somewhere weird or something...? Anyway, just wondering if any of y'all knew what I should do. Ty!

It should be in a paragraph at the top when you click on their wish list. At least that’s what I’ve found.

I lost access to my email. My new email is rogegrace1968@yahoo.com changed with amazon and elfster.

Does anybody else’s GR APP keep crashing? It’s been going on for days. Grr
