Simply K-Pop discussion

Gangnam style did it for me when I was a kid . . . JK I listened to a couple of songs because I didn't want to be too prejudiced and a YouTube I followed shared her story about getting into kpop . . . And she just had to leave a clip of BTSs Fake Love in her video.

I got into K-Pop because of my sister! She heard "Life Goes On" in an ad BTS was doing and she liked it so she started listening to BTS and then got me into them by recommending some songs. Ugh, it was an amazing introduction to K-Pop.

Yeah, I wasn't big about bts to begin with, but the artist that really appealed to me and made me want to explore K-pop more is CRAVITY. That's why I promote them so much. They just gave me a vibe that I wasn't feeling from other K-pop artists. Though I have branched out since, I will remain forever grateful to CRAVITY.

About three years ago. There was this commercial on youtube for 'How you like that' by Blackpink and it constantly kept getting stuck in my head. So I watched the mv and instantly got sucked in. I began listening to all their music after that mv and liked it. So before I knew it I became a huge fan. Than came along the other groups :D

Uhh it was on September 8th, 2022 (Disney+ day) and Disney+ added the BTS PTD concert in LA and idk why I decided to watch it because I DID NOT like kpop or BTS. Actually, no, the only kpop songs I had heard was Rock With You (Svt and idk how i had even first heard that. I just listened to it back in 2021) and Sterotype by StayC (Thanks to my bsfs spotify playlist, but I really did not like that song) But anyways, I put on the concert and I recognized quite a few songs, like obviously Dynamite (Which i used to be obsessed with that song in 2020 lol) and Butter, but also DNA, Idol, and Blood, Sweat, and Tears (Because I only knew the Tiktok audio) but then! I remembered my fav youtuber went to the same concert and vlogged it, and I remember thinking "I wonder if I look really hard, I could see her in the crowd on TV. I didn't lol) and when I was watching her vlog, I kept rewinding to a part where V smirked, because he reminded me of a friend who always made that face. So anyways, after all that, I went onto my computer and started looking up BTS and the rest is history. I actually don't stan BTS anymore but, I do still listen to a lot of their songs. I was an ARMY for over a year.
