How to Participate:

The Audiobook Challenge is designed to not only help you to read your audiobooks, but to also find out about other great audiobooks from other challenge participants!

Though you may pop in/out at any time, the Audiobook Challenge will run on a monthly basis so you are able to see progress being made.

There are no minimum page requirements, and you can read abridged or unabridged audiobooks!

1. At the beginning of the month, post :
a: How many audiobooks in total you want to read for the month
b: How many audiobooks in the monthly category you want to read
c: Post the audiobooks (as you decide on them) by linking them to Goodreads in your post

2. During the month, read the audiobooks that you can AND update your post with your reviews. (You can do this after each book or wait until the end of the month.)

3. At the end of the month, update your post and with:
a: What books you read
b: Link(s) to your review(s) - note: can only be linked to Goodreads and not an external site
c: How many audiobooks you have read for this challenge this year

Then start a new post for the next month!

Kristie | 3601 comments I'm in. Funny, I wish I had waited just a bit. I am in the middle of Cursed right now. It is book #2 in the Gilded duology by Marissa Meyer. I don't have any #2s planned for June. I'll have to check out what else is on my TBR.

Edit: I ended up listening to Murder on Thames (#1) and Mystery at the Manor (#2) over the past couple of days. How did I not put Mystery at the Manor aside until next month? 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'm putting aside Cursed to finish in a few days. It'll give me a head start to actually finish one in the correct month. lol I'll still see what else I have to get to too.

MY MONTHLY RECOMMENDATION (and why):
in category: The Weirdies Get Weirder by Michael Buckley The Weirdies Get Weirder
It was a fun book following in the theme of what makes social norms, and finding your own place in a world that seems strange. The Weirdies have a very unusual outlook on life and it is amazing to see their new mother try joining them. Also the racoons were fun.

out of category: Waybound (Cradle #12) by Will Wight Waybound
I loved this conclusion to the series. It wrapped up so many different small storylines that were still outstanding that I hadn't even managed to keep track of them all. I loved the look at all the characters and all the sides to this fight as well as the difficult choice of what is right vs what you want. I am hoping we come back to the Way at some point but honestly I loved the pacing and constant movement of the book.

Melindam | 8603 comments Finished The Great Hunt (The Wheel of Time, #2) by Robert Jordan . Great narration by Rosamund Pike. So far, she has recorded only Books 1 & 2 in the Wheel of Times series, she still has 12 books and thousands of pages to record, if she is willing. :)

Anyway, while the book is not perfect, I am enjoying the trip down Memory Lane with the WoT series. 🥰

Donne | 28 comments So, for my first big reading challenge, I fell a little short and only listening to eight of my challenged 10. In my defense, it's been a hectic month at work so I wasn't able to devote as much time as I like to just listen to books. However, it's Friday and I have the long holiday weekend to be lazy and enjoy a good book or two😊

Nameless Season Two (Books 1-6) by Dean Koontz https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I guess I should also mention that I did start one book in my initial challenge, unfortunately, I DNFed it.

Countdown (Amy Cornwall #2) by James Patterson https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I really enjoyed this challenge. It motivated me to continue some series that I had started recently. Even though ebooks were not part of the challenge, I also read three ebooks that were second installments of a series for a total of 11 second installments.
While I will be continuing with most of the series, unfortunately, there are two series that I will not be continuing. Happy reading everyone on this wonderful holiday weekend😊
