Darius (head of the Greenwich Presidium) defended Franklin Cabot's leadership of Cadogan House. Did his explanations have merit?

Lauren (laurenjberman) No!

Darius is an incompetent nincompoop!

I thought he was an ass. Who are they to put the house through that kind of test. Being a member of the alliance isn't supposed to put the GP in a paternal position and they put house members at risk, weakening them.

Darius and the whole group are completely out of touch and self serving. What a bunch of crock.

Lauren (laurenjberman) The GP is the reason the Red Guard is necessary.

That group makes much more sense to me now and will surely play a large role in the stories to come. Ethan's reaction will not be fun once he learns of Merit's connections.

Not saying anything ...

Lol! You don't have to:) In this matter, the man is predictable.

Erin (erin36) | 113 comments I am on major pins and needles waiting for Ethan to find out about Merit's involvement with the RG. The RG is one of my favorite storylines of the series and I can't wait to see where it goes (at least I hope it goes somewhere!).

I disliked Darius quite a bit of course. I hated watching him bully the House. I did however, love what it showed us of Ethan's character. His reaction to the nincompoop and the GP was very interesting.

I had a moment when Darius explained Cabot's role in the house where even if I didn't approve at all of his methods they at least made a bit of sense. They seemed a lot less random.

Lauren (laurenjberman) There are lots of surprising twists and turns in the next couple of books, Erin. I don't think you are going to be disappointed!

They made sense intellectually until I started reaching for the bottom line. No one needed to die to pass a test but Cabot was certainly willing to let that happen. Then it all starts to fall apart.

Erin (erin36) | 113 comments I agree completely. It definitely went too far and was way too extreme. I hope we see Cadogan really stick it to the GP :). I'm out for blood at this point! Lol!

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I couldn't stand Franklin Cabot and I can't stand Darius. I couldn't believe Darius defended the whole practice or starving vampires, etc. So far I really like this whole storyline and Ethan's reaction to Cadogan House possibly being tossed out by the GP. Can't wait for the next installment. I also like the Red Guard and think they'll come in handy with this story.

I'm excited about it, too.
