2) Choose your road trip BUDDIES B: A Pet

Let’s pick our travel mates! For this road trip decision, pick a book that features a pet within the story. It’s up to you whether the pets are primary or secondary characters.

Shonna Froebel | 255 comments I read You Lucky Dog by Julia London, a romance that starts with a dog walker returning two basset hounds to the wrong homes. https://cdnbookworm.blogspot.com/2023...

Denise | 574 comments I just finished Lessons in Chemistry. The pet, Six-Thirty, was my favorite character

Michele Olson | 557 comments I chose The Cat Who Saved Books by Sōsuke Natsukawa. Tiger the tabby isn't exactly a pet in the traditional sense, but it's a human and a cat interacting with each other, so I think that should count!

Alison | 20 comments I read Lily and the Octopus, a book about a man and his dog Lily. It was funny, charming and sad. I have cats, but could totally relate to this magical realism story concerning the bond between a human and pet.

Aquaria | 295 comments Katherine Porter - Ship of Fools

For most of the book, I was rooting for a torpedo to sink the ship.

Only three characters weren't horrid:

Jenny.

The ship's resident cat.

And the pet dog of two very silly people.
