1) Choose your road trip DESTINATION A: The Beach

For this prompt, read a book set at the beach. This should be one of the primary settings for the book, but it may also include secondary locations.

Here is the link for our Goodreads List, feel free to add your suggestions to it!

Denise | 574 comments I am thinking either: the Light Between Oceans, the Boardwalk Bookstore, or The Blue Bistro, all of which are on my REAL TBR shelves

Update: I read the Storied Life of AJ Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin. Takes place on an island

Aquaria | 295 comments I don't like to read books about beaches or water. I've almost drowned three times, so I suppose it's okay to look at in pictures, but I'd rather not deal with it any more than that.

So my pick is Travelling Cat Chronicles by Arikawa Hiro.

It's a secondary location in the book, but provides some much needed humor when the cat, Nana, realizes that the ocean may produce what he most loves to eat, but is not quite the paradise of gastronomic delight that he'd hoped. I related to Nana very much in that chapter.
