Kathy Golden | 12 comments I was wondering how many books can be submitted each time for us to vote on?

It doesn't matter how many are submitted because we will first whittle them down to ten or so and then in the final round to 3-5 depending on numbers of votes. For example, if the vote looked like this:

Book1: 20
Book2: 18
Book3: 17
Book4: 16
Book5: 16
Book6: 12

We would use 5 books because it works out well. However if it is like last time and the vote looks like this:

Book1: 20
Book2: 18
Book3: 17
Book4: 12
Book5: 12
Book6: 12
Book7: 12

We would only use 3 to make it easier.

I hope this helps.

Kathy Golden | 12 comments Thanks. Yes, that does help. If a book isn't chosen in a given month, can it be resubmitted until it is selected?

The ebook version tends to be the norm.

Christine Keleny (christinekeleny) | 20 comments Where do we leave comments from Aprils book. It's not obvious to me how to navigate within this group.

Sorry Emily - I can't find the group read archives folder?
Can you tell me how to find that?

Kathy Golden | 12 comments Now that we have three genres to choose from, do we only vote for one book from the three or are we to vote for a book from each genre?

Also, I'm not sure if this has been addressed: but since we have these three genres for July, is it possible to eliminate them for August and focus on three different genres so we're not limited to the same genres each month?

Hello!
We pick one book for each genre so that people have more choice. And for fairness, the genres that were selected this month will not be in the running for next month. They will, however, be allowed back the next month. If this begins to result in the same genres being picked every two months then we may start leaving larger gaps. Hope this helps!

Thanks, Emily. Sounds good.

Joseph Flynn (joseph_flynn) | 1 comments Regarding the deadline [today] for submitting books for the July group read, are the only offered categories Young Adult, Sci Fi and Historical Fiction?
Will there be a category of mystery or thriller at a later time?
Thank you.

We vote on genres every month, that will be one of the genres in the next poll.

I'm afraid I was without a laptop for most of the month so no but there are threads on each book already to post in.

T.R. Robinson (t_r_robinson) | 89 comments I would be interested in submitting one of my books for a group read. However, if chosen, I would only be able to provide pdf, dcx or .mobi editions by e-mail i.e. no paperback. Would this be acceptable?
