here is where the real fun begins! i'm going to have way to much fun with the two of them.
think of the drama. the plots. the spice. the mystery. the wonder. XD.

i'm thinking of some ideas right now for them two! feel free to let me know if you have any :)

I'm pretty much open to anything at the moment so I'll just propose some questions we need answers to for the basics

- how long have they known each other (and how long have they been friends, if there's a difference)?
- are they currently together or is that going to be a during roleplay thing? if currently, then how long have they been together?
- is it like one of those you don't realize it until one day it seems super obvious you've been in love or one fell first a long time ago and didn't want to ruin the friendship/was scared/didn't think the other felt the same or something different because if I keep going on then I'm never gonna stop lol

yesss! also i'm just going to answer these how i mapped it out in my head but if you want to change anything or go off of what you would answer, that's totally fine too!!

i'm thinking they have probably known each other since first year. probably not sooner than that because lance lived in america. unless lilith visited america and they met before hogwarts. and then they probably would have became friends through quidditch. maybe a friendly little rivalry?

as much as i'd love for them to be together, i think it would be more interesting (and more character development) if they weren't together yet. i think it should be a roleplay progression thing.

- is it like one of those you don't realize it until on day it seems super obvious you've been in love
probably. most likely. for example, one of them could get with someone else and the other realizes their feelings and acts on them/confesses. or one day they both (or one of them) realizes they've loved the other all along. OR YOU'RE RIGHT. IT COULD BE THE SECOND ONE TOO.

- cool, so friends since second year then and just like acquaintances in their first year, sounds good!
building on the rivalry: quidditch opens up the perfect opportunity for a friendly rivalry as the two new young players. maybe like they bicker and disagree for no point and are competitive during practice then it spreads to classes and stuff but then eventually they realize they're actually really similar and genuinely like each other (maybe like they put aside their rivalry to win the cup and have been close friends ever since?) idk, what do you think?

- I was hoping you'd say that! it's going to be torturous but I agree that it would be the best path for more character development and more interesting roleplay (plus a more complex relationship) in the long run

- hmmm lots of potential paths here and they all sound fun. I love the idea about one getting with someone else, who would it be though? it could go either way. I would say someone in another house though so that Lilith and Lance still have places (the Slytherin common room, classes, table in the great hall) where the SO couldn't be, might make for some interesting interactions.

yes! i totally agree about that for the rivalry. and to make it even deeper, they could have been two of the only second years to actually make the team (which would mean most of the team would be upperclassman). yes! that's a great idea, having the competition spread to classes and such. and yeah, they'd definitely put it aside so that they could win the cup.

i have two (or more) ideas for that actually.
one; lance's parents could have set him up with some pureblood in another house, most likely ravenclaw. and he learns how to like her and whatever and he's oblivious to his feelings towards lilith and if lilith got jealous of him and that girl, he wouldn't really think anything of it unless she said something outright about it.

two; lilith could get with this guy and lance immediately starts feelings protective over her. the guy lilith would date gives him the ick and he's obviously jealous. he'd give lilith even more attention then he usually did and he'd make sure that the guy knew he came first. and eventually he'd learn of his feelings (someone probably told him and made him understand) and he would pour his little heart into a little confession thing.

three; lance and lilith both get with someone but they end up just endlessly comparing their SO with each other. and over time, they realize that they like each other instead.

lol as I was reading the first two I was thinking both would be good, so let's go with that if you're good with it.
do we want to swap SOs? so like I make Lance's and you make Lilith's as like actual OCs? or just kind of a pop in and out sort of OC situation?
also, does Lance get set up first or Lilith? it could be like his parents set him up and she doesn't quite realize she likes him and she knows it's arranged and because she's been talking to whoever she doesn't think much of it, then the jealousy kicks in after Lance actually starts to like the girl.
or the other way and Lilith is with the guy and so Lance agrees to let his parents set him up with the girl kind of out of spite or jealousy or something

haha! i loved both ideas so i had to make an option with both! ohh that could be fun! we could switch SOs. i think it'd be easier to plan everything out and go about it if we had solid characters to work with instead of fill ins.

I kind of like the idea that lilith gets with the guy first and than lance agrees with his parents to get set up with some girl. mostly because i feel like it would fit his character, but we could totally do it the opposite way as well!

I was thinking maybe an older Gryffindor (so 17 I guess) for Lilith’s just because the rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin will add another layer of distrust for Lance. maybe even if he was the quidditch captain or the head duelist for Gryffindor too, but it’s completely up to you cuz I know you’ll pick something perfect

I think I’ve only got one more question: would her relationship be something that happens early in roleplay, maybe even rp their first date or something if you want, and so he gets set up around then as well? or would her and the guy have been together for a bit (maybe late last year?) and it was something his parents talked about during the summer but possibly he only agreed after coming back to school and seeing Lilith and her SO together? of course any ideas you have are totally welcome, you don’t have to pick one of these as I’m just bouncing ideas around

oh it would be interesting if the girl Lance is set up with comes from a similar situation and they relate a lot, it would make it easier for him to start liking her and make Lilith even more jealous

i didn't really have anything in mind for her, other than her blood status. because lance's parents would never have him be with anyone other than someone of 'pure' blood. so, have fun with her! do whatever you think is best. but it would be interesting if the girl came from a similar origin that lance did, they would be connected more. i feel like it would be like lance was trying to surround himself with familiar things and the girl was someone he related to a lot.

ohh okay, i could do an older gyffindor. lance definitely would be disgusted and distrustful towards him. it could go one of two ways. either the guy is on the gryffindor qudditch team and lance can really like make sure he knows that he doesn't like the guy. or the guy could be in the dueling club, where he'd be closer to lilith and lance would be more jealous.

ohh that sounds like a good idea actually. hear me out. lilith and the guy got together in the summer. and lance goes home to america in the summers, so he wouldn't know about the guy because what owl can travel that much? so he doesn't find out until the school year. and that summer, his parents really wanted him to be with someone they picked out. so, lance only agreed by like winter break because he couldn't bare it.

Giselle is a peculiar Hufflepuff. While she is typically very caring and loyal, she has a bit of fire to her. Her quick temper, mischievous ways, and smart mouth can get her into trouble sometimes. awesome, would you want to do an existing relationship or begin one during roleplay? they would obviously know each other from quidditch and because they would take classes together though

i'd say probably begin one. like they play together but don't talk a lot in practice? could even be that they don't get along very well and have different opinions about what should happen in a match

oooh I like that, maybe they're sort of competing over who gets to be quidditch captain after the current one graduates? unless he's the captain (as I was going to say the oldest and/or most experienced is once the teams are full, so there's a good chance it would be him) and he beat her for it.

wandlore & history_ Fir is known as "the survivor's wand", Fir wands are particularly suited to Transfiguration, and favour owners of focused, strong-minded and, occasionally, intimidating demeanour. This particular wand wood paired with the heartstring of a Chimera, can make it a difficult wand to master. As Chimera scale has been distributed among people over two thousand years ago it is not a common core type even more so given that the first wand made from the Chimera killed so long ago was given the heartstring of the beast as a custom made wand for a prominent Witch in Greece. She paid three times the going price for the rarest wand in the world just to obtain the wand core. She also hand picked each tree that would be used to create the wands the scales would be used for later. Aria Nyx was the wife of a very rich wizard, Artemis Nyx. Anything she desired she got including one of the rarest most personal handmade wands in the ancient world. The families prominence of course only went so far as Greece and Italy and as more reform took place it was less in taste to be Pureblood. The family lost their place in society over the course of a thousand years barely capable of holding their societal status and their riches. The wand of Aria Nyx became the last truly valuable item in the Nyx family fortune passed down between the first born child of the family for each generation. Eros acquired the wand when his childless uncle passed and it was inherently his to own as the first born of the next generation.

Patronus: Scorpion - an unusual patronus, indeed, it is seen in Eros given his strong familial ties which like the scorpion has not wavered for thousands of generations just as scorpions still appear similar to their more ancient ancestors. It is seen with people who are calculating, independent, and strangely empathetically nurturing. A scorpion usually only attacks when provoked rarely aggressive, but step across their line and its game over. (Fun fact: Eros Nyx, his father, paternal grandfather, and paternal great grandfather all share the same patronus and it is believed to be the same patronus of Aria Nyx, Eros' ancient ancestor.)

Rare Abilities: He is still in the process, but upon turning 16 his request to the ministry to practice becoming an animagus was accepted. He has nearly reached the point where he would complete his first transformation.

Personality: Charming, eloquent, and clever is the most simplistic way to describe the facade that makes up the persona that Eros allows everyone to see. Deep down he is not nearly as confident with his actions. In fact, quite the opposite, Eros overthinks every situation into the worst scenario and is always setting imaginary expectations for himself that he believes is a standard others are holding him at. He is always sure of his decisions when making them because he has already thought of every scenario that would be bad regardless of what choice he made. Unfortunately, he believes every individual holds him at a certain standard. His parents expect good grades and nothing but excellence, his peers expect a leader, younger students expect a rolemodel. These imaginary standards have given him the drive and ambition to be the best at everything he does. He is a leader, timid and kind, brave and wise, charmful and really just a good guy. Eros isn't the typical dark wizard who might be born into Slytherin, but probably embodies the lighter side of it the more positive side. His family still being a little wealthy from being owners of several wand wood farms for olive trees in Greece. He does still host a bit of programmed racism simply because that was how his parents were raised and they raised him to be more accepting of others, but never holding them to the same standard as purebloods. He tries not to let that be his judge so much as ones character, but he still disassociates with muggleborns, halfbloods, and pureblood families that believe in blood equality.

History: Born to pureblood parents, Zephyros Nyx and Cleopatra Sandscar. The Sandscar family were a prominent family that could trace their purity for eighteen generations. To maintain status and wealth within the family they arranged the union of their eldest daughter and the Nyx families second son. This arrangement occured while the mothers were both pregnant with their children. Already knowing the genders it seemed logical to ensure the families held blood purity and wealth. They accepted their marriage as was custom to for the age. It took a few years before they grew close enough to actually want to be married. And a few years more they renewed their vows and announced the pregnancy of their first child. Eros was born into a very loving and supportive family. His father taught him to earn his way even if he already had the means to pay his way. His mother taught him to be gentle and kind and always listen to the needs of others. Even as a witch and wizard that leaned toward the dark arts they were not horrible parents. Zelus was born two years later. Eros was taught to be a role model for his younger brother early on. They were much more mild to blood purity than their parents were, but they still had a name to maintain and they were still in an age where blood purity was just as important as social status.
Eros and his family left Greece after he turned five due to the family name being bashed in their home country and the loss of their status among the other prominent families of Greece. This occured when it was rumored that the family practiced dark magic to gain their wealth through the use of at least two unforgivable curses. While denying this to press the Nyx family was force to flee. Unfortunately, that meant Eros would not attend his mother's family school of Beauxbatons. They took up a nice home in Godric's Hollow and the family at last found refuge from people who knew their family name. Eventually, Zephyros took a ministry position which he never talks about. Cleopatra took a job working for the Daily Prophet that she never shutsup about. Eros loves his family and respects his father for trying to rebuild the family name. Luckily, his parents life struggle became less of his struggle when he finally got his letter. Just before the term started Zephyros older brother Atlas passed away and then passed down his wand to his nephew Eros. That wand was an ancient source of magic that once belonged to Aria Nyx. Eros started at Hogwarts and was sorted, but the hat was at odds feeling torn between Hufflepuff and Slytherin and once evem considered Gryffindor. At last, the hat settled on Slytherin. He was placed in the same home as his father who was transferred to Hogwarts when he was in school.
Eros grew fond of Transfigurations and picked up on it quickly. He also found skill in offensive magic as well as Care for Magical Creatures. Eros knew by his fifth year he was destined to become an animagus and on his 16th birthday petitioned for the right to practice and become one. Since then it has been his end of school goal to become a full animagus. He has always been friendly, but more focused on his studies rather than making long-term friendships. Eros is still working on choosing a career path, but he excels in all his courses he could probably choose any profession to follow.

I have two 7th year guys in the workshop rn and two girls already created, any of them could be friends or rivals or whatever you think would work best.

Alessandra is a muggleborn hufflepuff (but was adopted by a half-blood wizard)
Illyana is a halfblood ravenclaw (who's an outcast in long pureblood family)
then Silas is a complicated case slytherin
and Leviticus is also a complicated case hufflepuff

Silas would be an interesting romantic story

Vera could be Eros past year relationship which still has unresolved feelings and minor discomforts or awkward moments. Silas could be his new peaking love interest. How long has Silas attended the school i noticed he is American and was placed in Ilvermorny before attending Hogwarts? If they could work up into something romantic or having already evolved a romantic status with one another that would be really cool.
Could even do a play on drama where Eros has never had a relationship longer than a single term and while he really likes Silas he fears deep down how their relationship might end as if he believes his love life might have been cursed. Or even worse he fears that he might be toxic and the real reason love never works out for him is because he is the problem. He fears being too attached and delving into the matters of his own heart. He strives to have something real with Silas, but his insecurities cause him to go quiet when he feels conflicted with his emotions.

sounds good! oh year one cuz his family settled so that the kids could go to school in one place, that's just there because I think the Ilvermorny houses make more sense and say more about the character.

Vera just kind of moves from person to person so that would work well if he was her last SO and they broke up at the end of the school year maybe, so it would be their first time really seeing each other again since then?
Silas is demiromantic so that would work really well too.
oooh I like that cuz then Vera could also come in more as a friend since she's the same and will be going through the same thing once mel makes her love interest (we'll see how that goes though)

I love this thought so a full story could actually unfold. Eros in his sixth year dated or at least went somewhat steady with Vera. Naturally for both of them it was closer to their double digit time of being with another person since school began. Both of them slipped back into their not so trendy romantic lifestyle of being flirty with others rather than one another. By the end of term it was sort of just an unspoken agreement that they weren't speaking to each other like that anymore. By this term Eros bumped into Silas on the train finding few vacant seats. The two had a nice chat on the ride over and shared a few laughs. They sort of clicked and now Eros desires his attention more than anything. His insecurities about himself and his relationship left him emotionally distraught somehow Vera comes in and Eros is given solace with his emotional turmoil finding Vera's true purpose in his life to be a good friend.

Cool so seven years of sharing a dorm and Silas was way too off to himself to have ever interacted with the very extroverted Eros. It was their coincidental interaction on the train that actual led the two to get to know one another. Eros having an overly social life never notices the guys who set off to themselces due to all the distractions. Once his attention was caught by Silas he occupies his brain even when not around. Maybe Eros barely knew if the guy and hardly knew his name.

And Silas could have always thought he was way too out there for his own tastes and just ignored him, that is until they actually interacted and talked, then he starts to wonder if he’s growing feelings as they get know each other

Oh Emm Gee yes i so feel this storyline unfolding. Maybe get with Mel and toss possible ideas of a full dramatic scene. Since Mel is making Vera's current love interest perhaps they could see Vera console Eros which could harbor feelings of jealously stirring up drama in their own relationship given the whole school knows very well just last term Eros and Vera were all the talk and the power couple of the year. Im sure seeing Vera getting any sort of closure with Eros without knowing the context would certainly brew mixed feelings and resentment. Maybe see if Eros should get randomly attacked physically or magically? Like a sneak attack so he doesn't have time to defend himself. Perhaps something detention worthy a small punch or a simple curse nothing expel worthy.
