I think you will like it, Allan. but I am glad it is over. I really only liked the first one of this series

LOL Been there done that. I actually got a GoodReads free book-an advance copy-from a publisher once, and then I couldn't find it to review it. Which was ridiculous since I have so few print books any more. (It had fallen down behind an accordion folder on the bookshelf.)

Well, I still can't find my paper copy, but I started reading it in Open Library. As with the others, it flows quickly. I almost got through the first of the four parts in a day. It's like The Human Division in that it's a mash-up, this time of four novellas. As such, they push the story further, but they're not cohesive as a novel. Given that Scalzi is contracted for another OMW book, I sense that the story won't come to a clean ending here.

I got about 40% through The End of All Things, but had to turn to some library books to finish. I'll pick this back up in a few days to wrap up the series. Anyone else?
Being flat on my back for nearly a week with a stomach bug, I finally finished this. Even though it's a mash-up of four novellas, in this book they flow very seamlessly and it feels like a novel. While the ending is somewhat anti-climactic, it goes to a logical place and I like where Scalzi left the story. One of the better books, I thought.
I didn’t like this one quite as much as its predecessor; the tying up of things seemed a little laborious.

Agreed. Still a solid finale

I was about to start this one, but I find (frustratingly) I've misplaced my paper copy, so I'm pausing and tackling some of the month's other reads. However, I really enjoyed the mash-up structure of #5, so I'm hoping it works as well here.
