I read "Your House Will Pay" by Steph Cha. It was a really fascinating fictionalized re-telling of two families' experiences, one Black and one Korean, during and after the LA riots in 1992.

I read The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. It had really great character development and imagery, but at the same time, I was left feeling like nothing really happened... and I was okay with that.
