Bernard Hewitt | 1 comments Bernard Hewitt . Author . Barum Boy . Growing up to be Gay. Memoir .
Having been born in 1940, I grew up in an era where being Gay was a CRIME and punishable by imprisonment in the U K . A lot has changed since ,but for younger Gays ,it might be enlightening to know about LGBT past.

Arimi Reads (arimireads) | 60 comments I've been reading more lgbtq books than usual. I've just this second set up tumblr because I have no idea how to long into my old one and I've no idea how to upload to my new tumblr. I need to start making youtube videos again but I'm struggling to write scripts at the moment.

Good luck! I would have no clue.

I hope you're okay I'm 25 and I've got the same issue but I've battled for a few years to save for a house, it was difficult.

((Hugs)) So hard when you can't be yourself safely in your own family. I hope you find welcoming spaces online and someone in your life you can trust. But do stay safe. It doesn't feel like it at 12, but if you can hang in there, you have a LOT of years to come where I hope you will find your rainbow community to belong to.

I hope your book club takes off - shared reading is a great way to connect with people.

As for bisexual rep in YA, we have a bookshelf for them - I haven't read many although our last Book of the month I Kissed Shara Wheeler has a bi character.

This is the list - I don't vouch for the accuracy because members put the books on the shelf, but hopefully they are mostly true.

Could you add hibiscus and home by james conway to the bookshelf? There's two trans ftm mcs in that book xox I was going to add it but then I don' tunderstand how the bookshelf works so I didn't want to break it

Take a look at the bookshelf directions here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

If you can't figure it out, let me know, but I like people who know what is in a book to decide which shelves to put it on. (I used Hibiscus and Home in the new images, but didn't actually add it since I don't know what shelves it should go on. If you don't add it yourself, tell me the tropes/shelves to use)

That's so weird it appears Hibiscus and home has been removed from the shelf

It is in the bookshelf, about halfway down the first page. On the shelves for: read, abuse-parental-re..., child-neglect, depression, transgender-boys-men, transphobia, uk-fiction

Kelli Storm | 2 comments Hello! I'm Kelli. I wrote a YA book about a witch with ADHD who messes up a spell and time travels. She meets a future unalived victim and will soon need to decide: save the girl she's falling for or let history happen. Desolate comes out next month, and I'm so excited about it.

One of my favorite books is Hero by Perry Moore. It came out years ago, but it's such a good story. It's great if you're looking for something to read that features superhero characters.

Hero is a great book. If you like superheroes from a different angle, Dreadnought has a trans girl superhero and Not Your Sidekick series had several different identity reps.
