Ricki After reading this, it made me wonder what other cases out there were wrongly convicted and why. Has anyone read about any others?

Komal I read this book almost 4 years back, and it was quite a depressing. After that I really wished there are no such wrong convicts and at least a true story book on that topic. Though I don't know about any other book on this topic.

Jeanne This book made me so angry I had a hard time getting through it. But, I did finish and I was glad of it. We need to be reminded that injustice exists.

Chris Sadly, there are... This is one of the horrors of capital punishment - sometimes we put the wrong persons to be executed...

Grace I thought that this book was excellent. I read it over Christmas last year. I was saddened to think that in a so called Western 1st world country that this could happen and to some degree is still happening. These incidents happen particularly with high profile cases where the Police are under pressure to make an arrest.

Mike Isn't wrongful incarceration just a symptom of our greater societal problems? As a community, we've ostracized the police and we expect them to take care of all our problems. When, really, taking care of the problems of the community is the task of the entire community. The police have just been given extra rights like search based on probable cause and the use of deadly force.

Of course, Grisham was brilliant in his writing. I thought it a very cool thing that a fiction writer would wade into the world of non, and pull off a true story with such fascination for the reader.

Vennie Try "The Dreams of Ada" by Robert Meyer. It's hard to believe things like this happen!

Susan (aka Just My Op) Another interesting one is Angel of Death Row: My Life as a Death Penalty Defense Lawyer by Andrea D. Lyon. Really interesting. I didn't always agree with the author but was never bored.
