which is a new Terry Pratchett for me- and
which I am reading with the Goodread Winners group (although I seldom read romance anymore.) I am honestly a bit iffy on both, but will give them a good try.
@Andrea - I read "Marjorie" last year and then, coincidentally, my sister arranged for us to go to Post's house over Thanksgiving, which was hosting a collection of Grace Kelly's Dior gowns. We toured the house/museum after seeing the dress collection, and having read the book gave me a lot of context.
@Bonnie - you'll either be pleasantly surprised or they'll at least be off your shelf. That's a win either way!
@Lindsey -- I just bought the Landay this morning. Looking forward to seeing what you think!

later this month if you want to switch my brown book Jennifer- or just leave it as an attempted but did not finish brown cover read :)
Jennifer wrote: "I'll leave it as a warning to others... :)"sounds good. I love a lot of his books, but this is with another author and just doesn't work for me.

Not a bad book, but it seemed more of a teenage romance than an adult story. More of the book is the flashback to first love for sure.

lives up to your expectations better than the other reads have, Bonnie!"it is interesting, but not a novel/story, more a memoir. I am reading it, but need a real book/story going too.
Giving my brown/blue book,
, 3 stars. I would have gone with 4 stars if the "love story" part wasn't so generic and immature. Loved the idea of the traveling bookstore though!
I love the traveling bookstore idea too. Have you seen this book? I just saw it for the first time yesterday, sounds interesting. The Door-to-Door Bookstore
Finished my light blue cover for July:
The Escape Artists: A Band of Daredevil Pilots and the Greatest Prison Break of the Great War by Neal Bascomb - 4* - My Review

Finished
. This would have been a 4 star read but bc it was non-fiction it should not have had so much conjecture by the author (might have, could have, probably...). She was trying to make a point (the women weren't necessarily prostitutes) but didn't really have the proof to prove one way or the other. These women had serious alcohol problems & very hard lives due to poverty bc of choices they made. Certainly, doesn't mean they should have been killed. Whether they were prostitutes or not was irrelevant to me. Very interesting & 3 stars for me.
