Barbara | 364 comments One of my favorite recent pastiches (author sometimes comes on to this site) was published late last year and is called "Hidden Fires: A Holmes Before Baker Street Adventure" - it's kind of an "origin story" because it's Holmes a few years before he met Watson.
Also - MX Publishing which only publishes Sherlock Holmes books has done anthologies for several years, short stories mostly and some of them really have that Conan Doyle style down. The stories by Hugh Ashton, Arthur Hall, David Marcum, Jane Rubino, Tracy Revels, Geri Schear and Denis O Smith are among the beter ones IMHO.

The Shadow of the Rat - David Stuart Davies
The Abernetty Mystery - Paul D. Gilbert
The Adventure of the Pawnbroker's Daughter - David Marcum

The Adventure of the Glass Room - Philip J. Carrahar

One of my favorite pastiches was written by Derrick Belanger (he and his brother operate a small publishing house, Belanger Books) - it was in Volume XII (I believe) of the MX anthologies, and it was an epistolary piece called "A Correspondence Concerning Mr. James Phillimore."
