Barry Becker Alexander Klein wrote one of World War II's best espionage thriller novels in 1958. It was made into a movie in 1962 called The Counterfeit Traitor, starring William Holden and Lilli Palmer. Most of the book/film is based on true events about Eric Erickson, an American-born Swede and successful oil man who later served in British Intelligence.

I wouldn't be surprised if you viewed this motion picture and came to the same conclusion as I had that it was one of the best espionage movies ever made. Please check it out on Amazon or YouTube.
