Yes it's great! I finished yesterday The wiseman's fear by Patrick Rothfuss. I loved it and now I'm gonna have to wait for the third. I'm also still reading
Great idea!Currently reading:
Recently read:
★★★★ - a quick 13 page story!
★★★★★ - I would have loved to see more of the octopus but this was a fantastic, philosophical read. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
★★★ - the last book in the Five Warrior Angels trilogy. It dragged on at parts but I did enjoy how everything got resolved

Wendy, Short Tall Tales was just published last month—a fun little collection of very short stories, many from early in Lumley’s career.
I recently read:
Vita Nostra
I don't know if it is technically horror, but I definitely thought it was pretty scary. Would love to hear anyone else's thoughts on this book!
Not sure if any of you are gamers, but House Of Leaves is getting talkes about a lot online because of a Doom mod called 'My House'.
It's been years since I read it so I decided to read it again as my partner is away and I've got a quiet house for a week. I've just finished it. It's quite a slog but I think it's worth it overall. Quite thought provoking. A haunted house in a different way.
I finished this one recently, and I have just started my rereading of Dracula: The Company of Monsters Vol. 1. I'm pretty hyped.

Finished Brian Lumley’s Short Tall Tales—some amusing stories, but as with most collections of short-shorts, they all start to blur together after a while. No real standouts here. Now starting Scream at Midnight by Joseph Payne Brennan.
I ended All's Well with more questions than answers, but exceptionally, that is what I enjoyed about this book, with an open ended conclusion, one's interpretation can run wild.On the surface, the book addresses gender bias in medical diagnoses and the psychological effect of chronic pain, but more than that, All's Well is a book about fate vs. destiny, one in which the end result leans more towards being a product of the former, as the main character's desperate attempts to change her path leads her back to the beginning.

Just started The Watchers by A.M. Shine. And because it's amusing to me, my book on deck shares a similar title: Watchers by Dean Koontz.
Finished Scream at Midnight by Joseph Payne Brennan—really uneven, with a couple of excellent tales mixed in with a lot of predictable dross. Now I’m on to The Horror in the Museum by H.P. Lovecraft & Friends…

I’m looking forward to the ones that are new to me.
Just finished Earthlings by Sayaka Murata! Finished it in no time, I thought it was great. A lot of people seem to dislike its strange concept but I thought it was really creative. Not to mention it was really disturbing. Hope I can find more books like it!
I'm reading The summer I turned pretty series. I needed something light and quick. I'm starting the third already.
Just finished The Horror in the Museum. Complete review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...Tonight I'm starting a late-period Fritz Leiber novel said to be Lovecraftian, Our Lady of Darkness.

Boomtown The dead come back to life in the Old West. What's not to like? And so far, it's set in a very cold and snowy winter, perfect to take my mind off the heatwave outside!
Morgan wrote: "I just started my first Riley Sager book, “Home Before Dark.” I’ve heard so many good things about his work that I’m really looking forward to it!"I really enjoyed that one! I'm reading the house across the lake and I think I'm enjoyg it even more.
I'm reading Wolf Country as well as Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. First one is kind of a slog, but Androids is actually a fun read and different enough from the movie to make it exciting.
Currently reading:Houses Under the Sea
The Book of Disquiet
Lords of the left-hand path: A history of spiritual dissent
Well, I wanted to love Our Lady of Darkness, but in the end I only liked it—and that mostly for the superb work Fritz Leiber did with the setting of the story. I can’t consider it a great horror novel, but it’s definitely a great San Francisco novel—the reader can see and feel all the streets and neighborhoods and landmarks he describes really vividly. Next up is the horror-adjacent The Night Ocean, a novel about H.P. Lovecraft.
I'm currently readingAnd There He Kept Her
More of a thriller than a horror, but I'm loving it so far!
Just finished I Hear the Clattering of the Keys. A short story collection by Jamie Stewart.I recommend it. It's a great quick read if that's what you want but it's worth taking your time too as the characters are well fleshed out so it's a fun journey to the pay off
