Diversity in All Forms! discussion

I´m a third through the German translation of this book (from my library), and everything´s set for conflicts about the characters.

Finished this today, and though it wasn´t always easy to read Erdrich portraits her characters in the usual great way, also touching problems of tradition vs. "modern" America and the story of indigenous children forced into white schools.

To me, the characters & their lives,feelings, etc. are so vivid and real,her gift to us.

I read this book a while back. The book was well written as usual, I agree. Her take on the indigenous justice was very fascinating to me.
