Hmm...it's kind of up you, human like a little but also a bit different, more alien in some ways:

Do you like simple or complicated profiles?
Okay. Typically I do simple profiles but I can try to make it interesting enough XD
Okay! Will look forward to seeing him and I hope you like my human girl :)

"I thought it was my end but you reminded me what life was about."

When Rae was a very small child, she was kidnapped from Earth and brought to a foreign planet where she was raised as a slave and treated like one. She fought hard to stay alive despite what she was put through. She grew up fearing the aliens who had stolen her from her home, unable to escape their hands or have anywhere to go to. The older she became, the worse it got for her. When she was finally a young adult, she was desperate enough to run from her old masters, run anywhere to flee the constant pain and sorrow they caused her. One night she stole a bundle of food and slipped from the house. Unfortunately, Rae's master sent out a vicious beast after her who caught and dragged her back to the house where the master beat her within an inch of her life and tossed her out into the trash heaps that would soon be collected the following morning. Rae's little beam of sunshine had faded. There was nothing else for her.
But someone was to discover the spark that remained hidden inside.

Great! I like him. Who should start? I typically try to do 1-2 paragraphs but I can work with whatever as long as the story is still interesting to both of us.
Oh and we should have a name for the planet they are on? And a general climate?

Sounds cool!! Alright, give me a little bit and I'll have our first post up :)
Yeah!! Letting you know I'm getting a bit carried away with my first post like I always tend to XD
The snow was stained red, the chill of death hanging in the frosty air, drawing itself ever nearer to the prone body lying in the heap of trash in the back alley. A rank metallic smell drifted over top the stench of rotting trash. Off in the distance, terek beasts, much like dogs on earth, howled and barked to one another as the sun disappeared over the horizon for the night.
The sky was nearly black, only lit up by the stars and moons above planet Ivion and the surrounding snow covering nearly every surface and building. A casual wanderer would never see the body. Nobody wanted to get that close to the trash piles, and nobody wanted to save a human. Humans were cursed beasts, useless and more harmful than good. Old human slaves were thrown out all the time and picked up by the trash-burners. It was just the way it was.
The body was still alive; beneath the layers of blood and grime and atop the rotten garbage lay a small human woman, battered and hardly breathing. Her dark curls were clumped with sticky blood, and her olive skin had paled considerably. Lying out in the freezing air, she had grown far too cold and her extremities had started turning purple and blue. Her shredded clothing did little to cover the extensive wounds across her body and nothing to provide her with warmth. Her heart beat faintly and even despite the mess of blood that soaked the ground around her, the girl still lived. But how long she had to live was unknown, and each second longer she lay there, the probability of her existence diminished.

Rae was nearly unconscious by the time the alien found her. She let out the most pathetic of groans and if she had had any strength left in her, she would have never let him pick her up. However, teetering on the brink of death, her dying body recognized something; warmth. There was something close to her that felt warm, and while she didn't stir or reply to any of his words, she moved the slightest, smallest bit to feel whatever was powering on this form of life. As he held her, Rae's blood soaked the front of his shirt and stained his hands.
The wind continued to howl, whipping the snow across the alleys. It felt like sharp little knives as it hit both of their skin, and above rumbled the storm, threatening to send down even more snow.

Rae shivered in Nix's arms, the only other sign aside from her faint breathing and heartbeat that she was still living. When he laid her down and covered her with the blanket, she did not react further.
Meanwhile, Tye had completed the scan of Rae's body to alert him to the bodily damage. There were many wounds across her back from beatings, each that were bleeding and would need bandaging and possibly stitches. Aside from the bruises all over her body, she was suffering from a deep gash in her side, a few broken ribs, and a twisted ankle that was swollen. It was as if her body was shutting down in an ironic attempt to stay alive for longer.

((Sounds good! I have work tomorrow but I'll reply when I can!))
The girl lying prone beneath the blanket did not respond. Her eyes were closed and if it weren't for the brush with death that still hung over her in a threat, she almost looked somewhat peaceful. The only difference now was that she was no longer out in the snow and the cozy warm interior could help slowly warm her up. The tea would also help if Nix managed to get some down the sleeping girl.
Rae was dreaming about something when all of the sudden she felt a sharp stabbing sensation in her side. She swam helplessly in the dark, unable to escape from it, until suddenly it brought her back to reality and her eyelids flew open.
Everything hurt. Her entire body felt like it had been thrown through a shredder and the last memory she had was her Master shouting at her before coming at her with a large wooden bat. She let out a feeble cry, not quite yet seeing Nix, and with her weak arms, tried clawing away from the source of pain. "Help..." she whimpered pitifully.

Rae stopped briefly though little whimpers of pain still escaped her exhausted lips. Most of the fight had gone out of her when she had nearly bled to death out in the snow. When she saw him, however, fear filled her eyes. "You're one of them," she cried. "Don't hurt me!"
((Stupid goodreads has been down for a while!))
Rae's eyes were still huge as she stared up at him. He was one of the aliens, like everyone else here who hurted her and treated her badly. She was terrified. She flinched when he touched her shoulder and her heart rate continued to pound beneath her sore, cracked ribs. "Rae. I-I'm 22." She swallowed hard. It wouldn't make sense for him to bring her back to her old master after she had been beaten and tossed away, but she was so afraid and in so much pain she hardly even paused to consider that possibility. Saying even those simple words seemed to exhaust her and she focused primarily on breathing and watching where this alien was at all times.
This alien was far too friendly and interested in getting to know her that it made Rae confused. Not only that, she was suffering from severe blood loss and felt loopy and sleepy. But why wasn't he hating her or threatening her? "I don't...need...surgery," she whimpered fearfully. She winced with her breathing.
"Recommended hospital treatment for blood transfusion, radiographs, and possible ultrasound for internal organ damage," said Tye in Nix's ear. "Also needing further bandaging and sutures."

Tye called Aries, and soon he picked up. "Hello? Nix?" He asked. "Everything alright?" It was evening, so Aries was working late shift at the hospital.
Rae had drifted into a doze when Nix left. She blinked slowly when he returned, that fear still showing in her eyes. "It hurts," she whispered, and shivered.

"Ahhh, I can grab my stuff and head over there as soon as I can. A human? Nix, I don't know if I'll have everything on me. I'll grab what I can. Anything seem broken?" He asked his friend.
"I'm not sure I have human blood. Ahh, let me think." There was silence on the other end for a moment. "I've got that magic stuff. It's for us, not humans, but I can give it a try. It's either she probably dies without it, or it's harmful and she dies with it. That okay?" He asked. "I'm coming with a bunch of medications and stuff to get her more comfortable."
"Of course. I'll be by in a bit." The line ended and Nix was alone with the poor human girl who lay on the couch in silence. She trembled beneath the blanket but her eyes were closed and she did not speak. Her skin was quite pale, an indication of her poor quality of life at the moment. Soon Aries would show up.
Rae did not reply. She seemed like she was sleeping again.
A little while later, Aries knocked on the door and let himself in, carrying bags and containers of things.
"Nix, I'm here," he called, kicking the door shut with his foot. His arms were too full. He hurried into the living room and put his medical supplies down, eyes widening at the sight of the human girl. "So tell me more. Where'd you find her again?" He grabbed a stethoscope and went to the girl's side.

"Hmm," Aries muttered to himself, and took a moment to listen to her heart and lungs. After a second, he pulled the stethoscope away. "Low heart rate. Weak. Hm." After a moment he uncovered the blanket to look at her hands and feet, concerned about hypothermia. "We need to sit her up. You can gently rub her hands and feet to get circulation going - I know she doesn't have much blood - and I'll try getting some of this tea down her to warm her insides up. Then we'll look at her wounds. Say, you got an extra pair of socks and or gloves around here? We could use those too."
"To investigate what, a human slave being thrown out?" Aries asked. His face sobered and he sighed, attempting to give Rae the tea. She automatically drank some of it but she didn't stir otherwise. "Nix, you know how it is. People get away with it because they hate humans. The big guys won't listen. Her master won't get away with it."
"There's far too much of this that happens all over the place," Aries said with a sigh and a shake of his head. "Alright. Let's turn her over so I can get to her other wounds. Ready? One, two, three." On three, the two of them gently turned Rae over so she was laying on her chest. She cried out at that and her eyelids fluttered.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Aries said hurriedly. "I need to bandage your wounds." He got to work and as he did so, Rae whimpered softly.

"Hurts," Rae said pitifully. She listened for Nix's voice for a little while but it was hard to concentrate while everything hurt so badly. When Nix came back, Aries had finished cleaning and binding Rae's deep wounds. They turned her back over to take pressure off her broken ribs. Rae shut her eyes again.
"Are you okay if I try giving her the elixir?" Aries asked Nix, rummaging through a bag. "There's a risk giving it to her but she will die without anything."
"Are you okay if I try giving her the elixir?" Aries asked Nix, rummaging through a bag. "There's a risk giving it to her but she will die without anything."
Aries sighed and waved Nix away. "Alright, alright. I'll get her sorted." He turned back to the girl on the couch and tenderly asked her if it would be alright to try the elixir. He explained that there would be the chance for her to survive if they tried it. Rae was too weak to say much other than whimper, so Aries took that as a yes and got her hooked up to an IV line with the bag hanging up off a nearby shelf. Meanwhile, he also gave her some strong pain relief and once it started, her face visibly relaxed and she fell back asleep.
Aries cleaned up his medical tools and supplies and was just checking on Rae a second time when Nix returned. Rae was sleeping peacefully.
"That smells amazing," he said appreciatively, looking over at the food. "Your human is sleeping but she's stable for now at least. We can try getting her something to eat in a little bit."

Aries nodded and took some of the food on a plate. He dug in. "This is great. You're a great cook." He smiled at his friend and ate the food.
Aries laughed and shook his head. "I know, I've said it a lot. Well, find yourself a girl and you're set. You've not gotten any ideas now that you've brought her home?" he raised his eyebrows at his friend.
"Prove me wrong," Aries shrugged, eating his food. "You're already acting protective about her." He glanced over to where the girl Rae was sleeping, unaware of the conversation that was happening right around her. She slept quietly and did not make a sound.
"I've been your friend for years, Nix." He smirked. He knew his friend better than Nix knew himself sometimes, it seemed.
((Once Rae continues to get better and all, she and Nix will fall in love though right?)
((Once Rae continues to get better and all, she and Nix will fall in love though right?)
((HEHE I knew it))
"Me too," Aries said sadly, rubbing his forehead. "I'll be honest. If she makes it through the night after looking like this, then she has a chance to get better."
"Me too," Aries said sadly, rubbing his forehead. "I'll be honest. If she makes it through the night after looking like this, then she has a chance to get better."
"Yeah?" Aries said, glancing up from his plate of food. "You I know I don't mind helping. Not even humans." He glanced towards the window, noting that the snow had finally started falling again as predicted. He could either hurry to leave now, or take up his friend's offer to stay the night. It would also give him the opportunity to keep an eye on the patient and make sure she was comfortable enough. He wouldn't be able to stay longer than that, as he'd have to get to the hospital again soon but he could for now.
Aries sighed with a nod. "They really are. Maybe someday it'll change but meanwhile we'll do what we can. I agree; this is probably one of the worst I've seen yet. Maybe you were meant to come across her."
"Okay, okay, okay," Aries chuckled. "Calm down. I don't know. Maybe you can register as her legal master. You can take care of her the right way but then it would give her protection. Though who knows, there's probably a lot of legal paperwork to go through." He ran a hand through his white hair.
"I don't know what you're going to do. Some people own many humans at once. Depends on the risks you are willing to take." He shrugged.
