Let's get this going!

– Books must be published by the first, be available internationally, and available in print form.
– After 24-48 hours, 8 books from each genre will be chosen at random from the selection, using a random generator online.
– Only ONE nomination per person (EITHER sci-fi OR fantasy).
– If books are part of a series, they must be the first, unless the group has already read the previous book(s). You can see our previous group reads here or click “Bookshelf” from the menu on the right.
– No authors nominating their own works.
– No self-published or ebook-only books — we want our BotM to be accessible to as many members as possible!
– Moderators may use their discretion when accepting nominations. Keep the thread focused. Discussion about changes in rules can go to General Chat.

We read this one in 2015. Feel free to join in the discussion here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Please choose another nomination.

message 9: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 1250 comments The Malevolent Seven for fantasy please

message 10: by Bana AZ (new)

Bana AZ (anabana_a) If this is okay, The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller for fantasy please.

Goodreads marks it as "fantasy", but not totally sure if the group's okay with this since mythological retellings could be its own thing.

Most call it fantasy but I see it's probably a SF/F cross. Thanks, Pamela, I'll go with SF too. :)
