Spending the month with Superintendent Battle! This one has always been a favorite of mine.

That's funny, I didn't have that page in my edition.
Was McWhirter's name Andrew or Angus in your copy? I read a paperback, and it was Andrew, but I remembered his name as Angus, so I'm wondering if it was changed to Andrew for a U.S. version?
I read an American edition with Andrew M.
I looked at my blog review & he is definitely "Angus" in some of the versions because that's how I refer to him.https://allthevintageladies.com/2018/...
