Sci-Fi novel about a man who works on a mission for a company (I think) and every time his shift ends his memory from work is wiped. It’s an ongoing cycle

Approximately when did you read this? Did it seem new at the time you read it or older? This will help us narrow it down.
That sounds like the premise of the recent tv series Severance (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11280740...)
I haven’t watched Severance yet but now I’m intrigued. Thank you for sharing! To add more clues, the sci-fi book I’m referring to is basically about a man who works for a company that thrives to separate the employees work and personal realities to ensure they stay completely mentally focused on the job.
I am also trying to remember the title of what I think is this same book. I believe I read it in the past 5 years, more likely past 2-3. I feel like it's a very near future book, and I *think* I listened to the audiobook and it was in English. There's a guy who goes to work each day (view spoiler)He eats cereal with a specific type of milk and stares at the clock until it hits 9 am. I think he gets driven to work by a company car each day. He doesn't remember what he does, but time seems to pass because the seasons change and his hair grows longer. I think he talks to a woman colleague who he sees in the office but she isn't supposed to talk to him and then (view spoiler). I think he works in a big glass building, and has never met the CEO until one point he meets her and she's a young beautiful woman. I think there's a confrontation near the end but I can't really remember what happens or what it turns out that he's doing during the day. (view spoiler)
I also have memories that I think are from the same book that's somehow about (view spoiler), and about a scene at a louis vuitton boutique with a woman, and something about a sad man who messed things up with his former wife and child, (view spoiler)
I've tried a number of the suggested ways to find this book's title/author, and I am just not coming up with anything. I think it was a fairly recent novel.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I found short story mentioned in this search: https://scifi.stackexchange.com/quest..."Character is What You Are" by Michael R. Fletcher
Just so we don't get confused, Ariya is the OP (original poster) of this thread. Rachel, you can create a separate thread for your request if you like.
Was it a book or short story?Paycheck
Its only 30 pages...
Also a movie with Ben Afleck and Uma Thurman
