Seems that way. Have you read any cool graphic novels this summer?
I just read Cosmoknights, Vol. 2 which I had been EAGERLY awaiting since discovering the 1st volume.
I feel like I've had a couple disappointing or not super exciting reads lately. Which is unfortunate. I did read Basil and Oregano which was pretty cute though.
I'm slowly catching up on Lore Olympus and read Lore Olympus: Volume Three in June and I'm waiting for Volume 4.
I would love to hear about anyone's recent graphic novels they have enjoyed!
I have been tearing my way through Hoopla! It’s got such a wide selection of items so I have been enjoying exploring different genre. I have finally picked up Sandman by Neil Gaiman. I have never read it and I was browsing my public library shelves and saw the complete run so I checked it out. I have always meant to read it but never got around to it because of the artwork (kinda disgusts me), but after watching the show based on the comics I was interested.
I know what you mean about Sandman! When my friend pitched my the series years ago, I looked at the art and said "...hmm I don't know" but then after watching the show I finally tried it. I've only read the first two volumes which basically covers the show and it was alright. I'm not sure I would be into it without the show. Did you read all of it then? I'm a big fan of the Walking Dead comics but I started them after starting the first two seasons of the show. I much prefer the illustration in these comics but I'm curious if I would have gotten hooked without seeing some of the show first. I should reread the comics after I finally finish my reread of Saga...
I have read the first two and I plan to start the third this weekend. It’s definitely growing on me but I feel like I don’t understand some of the plot points as they don’t really make sense. I suppose that is how it’s supposed to be though, dreams rarely do so why would a book about them make sense? I have read through the walking dead as well but it has been years! I actually enjoyed the graphic novels much more than the show and only watched the first season. I salute you on Saga! That one is hefty. I plan on tackling it one of these days.
