What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

It was definitely available on iBooks in the YA free category in about 2015, the cover had a girl with heterochromia and red hair on the cover, her parents were hippies and lived on a commune or something and her dad would drive into town on his motorbike to get her books but he died in a motorcycle accident which is when she got taken to be experimented on, I think her name was short for something like Caledonia or Cassiopeia or something like that.

It might have been the first one in a series however if it was I never read it.

Yesss! That’s exactly the one I’ve been looking for, I think the cover has changed because I don’t remember that one but it’s definitely that book thank you :))

A later book in the series, The Caledonian Inheritance, also by Derrolyn Anderson , has the cover you described.

Ah no the cover I remember was just the eyes and the top of the head that only covered like half the page and the rest of the background was white but even so it is the book I was thinking of

I hate it when the authors switch the covers… but I’ll admit I am influenced by them. I’ve bypassed books for years, only to give them a go with a different cover (knowingly). Or had trouble starting a reread of a book I liked because I don’t like the new cover. 🤦‍♀️
