I've made a start today.

Chapter 8 (view spoiler)[ Wow those women all setting themselves on fire to kill the princess was horrific! I hope Ehri will be alright, she doesn't know her evil sister's plan was to just kill her... she'd be far better off marrying Nikolai! Though he loves Zoya, I'd like to see them end up happy. I have this in my list to read. I'm going to be very late though. And I need to go look up a recap of the first book since I don't feel like rereading it.

I read a grand total of two chapters last night lol How far in are you now?

I'm through ch 4 and just not hooked yet. I probably should have reread the first one. I'll keep trying.

RL stuff has been making books hit or miss, even ones I should enjoy. It's frustrating.

Yeah, that was pretty bad. (view spoiler)[It says more about Ehri's sister than anything else though. Not a very good family relationship there.

Yeah it would be nice to see Nikolai and Zoya pair up. I guess we will see what eventually happens.

It also seems like they are setting up Nina/Hana as a relationship too given Nina's reactions to Hana entering her society to look for a husband. (hide spoiler)]

I'm up to chapter 23. A week off reading altogether and I've totally forgotten what's happening 😅

Yeah, I'm in Ch 11 lol I made it no where close to you in a week :)

I think it's been too long since I read any Grishaverse that I've lost the connection to the characters. The story is generally interesting but not gripping. I am debating a DNF.

I decided to DNF. I'm just no excited by the book at this time. Perhaps I'll try again in the future.
