Of course she was unaware that leaving ones window open at night was a very bad idea; one does not simply leave thier window open at night.
"What are you doing here, little buddy, huh?" She asked softly, caressing the silky fur between his intelligent eyes.He pawed at her arm and let out a shrill pur. She jerked away, the last thing she needed was a scratch.
The cat didn’t move, its yellow eyes fixed on her, his tail swishing behind him. Swish. Swish. “Hm?” she asked nervously.
The cat made a most uncatlike sound. It reminded her of the way her father used to sigh when she begged him for candy at the grocery store check-out. That sigh always meant he was about to give in. So did the cat. "Very well," it said. "If you insist, I'll tell you."

She pulls a lock of dark brown hair over her shoulder, twisting it around her finger. "Y-y-you can talk?" She stutters out, eyes flicking between the door and the cat with freakishly human eyes. Aside from the yellow, of course.
"Y-y-you can talk?" The cat mocks, rolling its eyes.

The cat snaps at her finger. "Stop stabbing me!" He hisses and jumps off the desk onto the plush carpet.
The cat narrowed its eyes. "Reality is an illusion," it said. "I mean, look at me. I have nine lives, right? That's what you humans always say. What's real about that? Nothing. I have one life, like you. It's just that mine..." For a moment it looked around as though lost for words. "Mine," it continued, "is sort of like a ball of string. You only see nine segments of it, because it's all wound up."
