Read the book too long ago to remember. But I did wonder what else the injections did to the wolf, almost humanizing the natural hunting (carnivore) instincts with smarts.
I knew they had something to do with Harrington's death from the beginning. When they mentioned trying to inject an adult to see how they reacted, I figured that Harrington was their guinea pig.I thought it was karma that Ricky the wolf killed Dr. Carter after being injected by him.
I don't remember exactly when, but it was fairly early on. For sure by the time when Harrington was found. I just questioned how they managed to do all the testing on him and get him to Alaska. I agree that the injections did some strange things to the animals, it was almost like it enhanced their conative functions.
