The 52 Book Club: 2025 / 2026 Challenge discussion

Hey bookworms, we’re so excited to share with you The 52 Book Club’s very first readalong!

This month, we will be reading None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell. Jewell is a New York Times #1 bestselling author, returning with a scintillating new psychological thriller about a woman who finds herself the subject of her own popular true-crime podcast.

1) Mark your calendars! We will be reading None of This Is True together over the course of one week. We will start reading on Monday, August 28 and finish the book together on Saturday, September 2nd.

2) Reading: Each day of the readalong, we will have an assigned set of chapters to read through. This will be sent out the week before the readalong.

Each day will be approximately 60 pages. This may feel daunting for some, but not to worry, the chapters are short and fast-paced and if anything, you might have a difficult time putting the book down! If you know you won’t have time to read on one of the days, you’re welcome to read ahead. The schedule is a fun way to read alongside others, but feel free to read at your own pace if needed!

3) Discussion: After finishing your daily reading, pop on over to Discord to chat with the group! This is a specific space for members of this readalong to chat together and discuss theories, characters, plot twists etc. We’ll have set discussion questions each day too. (Not to worry if you haven’t used Discord before. We’ll help you get it all set up!)

Tganks do much for setting this up! Lucky for me it was one of my BOTM picks for August. I wonder if it will fit any of the prompts. That would be an added plus.

It will definitely fit a few prompts! A book with a dedication, a book about secrets, featuring one of the seven deadly sins, contemporary setting. Also, you could stretch it to "a book about siblings" if you wanted to get creative as the premise is about "birthday twins."

Unfortunately there are long holds for this book at my library so I won't be able to get it time to join in.

I loved this book! Once I sat down and really started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I did use it for one of the prompts.

Library wait time is 6 months! Hopefully I'll be able to join the next one.

I read this earlier in the month; had I been paying attention, I could maybe have suspended my hold in time for the readalong. As it is now, I'm back on an extensive holds list for either a physical copy or an ebook. I hope I remember enough to contribute something to the discussions.
