Is Mathias Dead?

That ending though. Seriously, Mathias can't be dead. That was way too heartbreaking. He has to be alive to continue the love triangle? Does anybody think Mathias is alive or dead? And why or why not? Personally, I'm still holding out hope he shows up alive in the next book.
I don't think we've heard the last of Mathias. This'll probably be the same situation with Gally from the Maze Runner series where we thought he was dead because of the extreme circumstance. I really don't think this will be Mathias's last act. I firmly believe that he has a role to play in Rhoma's regime.
I don't think he's dead. I'm HOPING he's not because it seems off somehow. I think he's had a bigger role in the story. It would be weird if he stayed dead.
In the book it is pointed out that Ochus was trying to find a way to prevent death. "I was an alchemist, striving to heal the sick and find a cure for death." There is a possibility that Mathias will return.
It seems like they make it seem like he is, but I'm not sure.
I'm guessing that Rho will find a way to go back in time and then she will prevent Mathias from dying. Everyone cross your fingers!
***Spoiler*** Mathias is not dead. He's captured by the Marad(?srry if i spelt that wrong) and thats when he meets Pandora, but if your asking if he's dead after what happened at the end of Black Moon.... I cant answer that.
