Lana leads the way in, not straying farther than a few feet from Nico, turning sideways against the tide of students, one of her hands out behind her, as though making sure there was a path for him.

Nico follows, trying to help Lana get through the crowd of students. He spots an empty table but before he can say something it gets taken.

Lana spots a table and grabs his wrist, “Over there! Quick!” ((I might have to go one sec))

Nico lets Lana guide him to the empty table. K.

(Okay.)

Lana sits down, after letting go of him, and looks around. “It’s so beautiful in here,”

Nico sits down also. “It is.” He says.

Once the music start, she always ever so slightly to it. ((Gtg, be back later))

(Okay.)

Nico smiles slightly and hums along to the music.

((Sorry I ended up having to do something))

Lana looks around again, a big smile on her face. Her eyes had a dreamy, lists look to them.

((Lost look))

Nico’s eyes travel around the ballroom, glancing in all directions and watching the other students.

Lana grabbed a menu and scanned it. ((Brb 10-15 mins))

Lana ordered from her plate and smiled. “Are you going to get anything?”

“Probably not, I’m not hungry.” He says, turning to face Lana.

She smiled. “I know I keep saying this, but I really am glad you’re taking me. I’ve never even really had friends, so it’s so nice,”

((Internet is bad so I might not be able to reply or something))

“No problem.” Nico says, smiling. He glanced around the room again, his eyes never staying in the same place for long.

(Okay.)

“I love this song,” Lana said vaguely, stirring her water, smiling still. “Do you listen much music?”

“Yeah, but only specific bands.” He said, looking up at the chandelier on the ceiling.

“It is beautiful, isn’t it?” Lana said again, noticing him looking everywhere. The song switched. Lana watched some people on the dance floor.

“Yeah it is.” He said softly, his eyes not on the dance floor. He inadvertently shuddered. Then he went back to looking at the ceiling.

“What is it?” She asked, frowning.

“Nothing.” He said, his eyes still on the ceiling.

“Nico, it’s very obvious that something is up. What?”

((Gtg))

“It’s nothing.” Nico said, looking at Lana.

(Okay.)

“Mm.” She looked at him skeptically but let it drop.

“So what do we do know?” He asked.

She gave a little smile. “Um…uh…I know you said you didn’t know how, and I don’t either, but….” Her voice trailed off and she stared at the table. “Never mind.”!

Nico returns to glancing around the room.

Lana stared at the table for a while. But then she looked up. “What’s bothering you?”

“Lana it’s nothing.” Nico says.

“Ok.” She leaned back in her chair and watched him looking around. “I’ll go get drinks, then?” she asked after a while, “I think I saw pumpkin juice.”

“Yeah, okay.” Nico says, looking at the Chandelier again.

Lana glanced up at the chandelier, but got off her stool and left the table.

Two minutes later:

Lana comes back with two pumpkin juices, and hands one to Nico.

“Thanks,” Nico says, sipping his pumpkin juice.

Lana watches the dance floor again, and then looks back towards Nico. “You know, I still feel like I barely know you. Tell me stuff about you.” She smiled.

“What do you want to know?” He asks, looking at Lana now.

“I don’t know. Anything. Like, things you like to do.” She suggested, shrugging.

“I like to read, hang out in the forest and climb trees, study.” He says.

“Cool.” She smiles again.

“What about you?” He asks.

“Oh, um…I like to read, study, listen to music, and school in general. But you already knew that.”

“Anything else you want to know?” He asked.

“Biggest dream?” Lana asked thoughtfully, sipping her glass.

“Do you mean like my biggest wish?” He asks.

“Yeah. I guess. If you want to tell me.” She added, not wanting to be intrusive.
