Thank you for sharing. AI is certainly a hot button issue, and I am as equally disturbed by it. This might be a good thread to post other links to news and opinions about AI as well, so that other writers here can stay informed about its assault on the media industry. I say "media industry" because actors and screenwriters are deeply concerned too.I hope you don't mind.
Here's a Youtube link on a company using AI to show how "you too," can create a Southpark episode... (insert eye roll here)

Its even worse than that, scammers are using AI to put books up in the names of popular authors, filled with junk. And its not easy to get books removed from your name on Amazon.

Certainly, AI's impact on various industries, including the media, is a topic of ongoing discussion and concern. The way AI is altering content creation processes, including in the film and television industry, electricity bill , is of particular interest and concern to many creators. Here's a thread that covers some noteworthy articles and discussions about AI's influence in the media industry, including its impact on actors, screenwriters, and content creation.Regarding the YouTube link you mentioned, the company showcasing how AI can create a South Park episode might indeed highlight the capabilities of AI in mimicking certain creative processes. However, it also raises questions about the originality and creative authenticity of content generated through such means.
As the media industry grapples with the integration of AI into content creation, discussions around the ethics, implications, and the future landscape of media will continue to evolve. Keeping abreast of such discussions can be pivotal for writers and creators to navigate this evolving terrain.
Feel free to add your thoughts, comments, or more links to this thread to foster an ongoing conversation about AI's impact on the media industry.
