Sweet Treats Reading Challenge Info.

Hello Book Sisters! Hope all of you are well! We will need a total of 3 more Team Captains! Fresh Fruit Sugar Cookie is already taken. If you want to be a team captain you will need to guess the colors for the other teams. HINT- The color is NOT based on the description in the post.

Those colors are not correct for those teams. We need guessing for Cinnamon Roll Cake and Gingerbread Bars. So you can either guess again or if you want to be on a team let me know which team!

Angieleigh that is not the correct color but it is a dark color I will say that.

Hello everybody as you all know this challenge starts in five days we still do not have a team captain for gingerbread cookie bars, so what I’m gonna do is I’m going to give you all a hint of what the color is for that team and if anybody guesses it then, of course you’re gonna be the team captain, but please team captains have all thread created before the challenge starts so your team can log books in there you can log books up to one day before the challenge!
So the hint is, it is a dark color, but it is in the blue era that is your hint!

What is a challenge?
Simple right... this is a time to test yourself and see how many books you can read within a certain time period. This is also a wonderful opportunity to chat with your team mates and get to know each other before the challenge starts. The main point is to gather as many points for YOUR team as you can. There are way you can earn certain points for your team as well which are listed down below! Please be respectful to what other team mates read.
Teams:
In this challenge there will be a total of 4 teams. Keep in mind we are also trying to make teams the fairest as possible. Teams names are listed down below!
Team 1: Pumpkin Fudge Brownie.... (This is a layer of fudge brownie mix topped with a layer of smooth pumpkin spice brownie batter on top of the cooked fudge brownie layer and is served with a side of vanilla ice cream!)
Team 2: Fresh Fruit Sugar Cookie... (This is a plain sugar cookie with a hint of vanilla topped with your fresh fruit of your choice. The frosting is a cream cheese vanilla frosting that goes on top of the sugar cookie and is then added with fresh fruit of your choice.)
Team 3: Cinnamon Roll Cake... (This is a plain yellow cake mix that has a hint of cinnamon roll chunks in the cake. Baked in the oven and topped with cinnamon roll icing.)
Team 4: Gingerbread Cookie Bars.... (This is a plain vanilla cake mix with a hint of gingerbread. Baked in the oven and topped with a cream cheese frosting and sprinkles on top.)
Team Captains:
Each Sweet Treat will have a team captain. How team captains are chosen is each sweet treat has a color behind it. The Moderators will get first pick to being asked if they want to be a team captain. If they don't want it then we will post how many team captains we need. Whoever guesses the correct color of the multiple choice question will be chosen for team captain. Team Captains are in charge of logging the team points, as well as creating the thread for the team to log books and chat with other team mates. PLEASE say in the comments below if you are willing to be a team captain or not. PLEASE DO NOT COMMMIT IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE ACTIVE.
Start & Finish Date:
Books you read HAVE TO start and finish between the dates of the challenge. This challenge will start on August 17th, 2023 and the challenge will end on September 28th, 2023. Please have all your books logged for your team captain by September 29th, 2023 (depending on your time zone as well.) Winner of the challenge will be announced September 30th, 2023!

*.- All prompts and reviews of books have to be 78+ words or more in order to count. (For Example: Let's say you choose the writing prompt of
What is one thing you liked about the main character? In order to log the FULL points you HAVE to write 78+ words or more answering that certain prompt.) If you have any questions please comment and we will specify.
*.- You ARE NOT allowed to read a book 2 times and count points 2 times as well.
*.- Audio books are allowed to count. If you read paperback, hardpack, or any physical copy the book HAS TO BE OVER 100 pages in order for it to count. (For example: If I choose to listen to the audiobook for Reminders of Him, I HAVE TO INCLude the number of pages the book has and use that to log in my books.)
++++++ We want everyone to have fun and enjoy the books you are reading. As we said above ^ Please be respectful of other team mates as everyone reads different genres. IF WE SEE ANY NEGATIVITY YOU WILL GET A WRITTEN MESSAGE FROM THE A MODERATOR AS A FIRST OFFENSE AND IF YOU CONTINUE TO DO IT.. YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE CHALLENGE COMPELTELY.
*.- We are being strict because we want to make it fun for everyone. We are not trying to be rude or hateful. But we do ask if you choose to participate that you abide and listen to the rules so it's fair for everyone.
*.- Comic books WILL NOT be allowed to count as points for the challenge. Manga, LGTBQ or anything else will be counted but as respect for others put a trigger warning if that is what the book consists of.

How To Earn Points For Your Sweet Treat Team:
A) For each book you read for the challenge, you will get points depending on how long that book is.
100 - 200 pages= 1 point
201 - 300 pages= 2 points
301 - 400 pages= 3 points
401 - 500 pages= 4 points
501 - 600 pages= 5 points
601+ pages or more = 6 points
B) If you happen to do a buddy read, that will count as a extra 5 points!
C) If the book is a BOTM (Book Of The Month), that will count as a extra 5 points!
D) If you happen to choose to write a review of the book and the review is over 78+ words, that is an extra 5 points!
Book Prompts are an extra 3 points each! RAB (Read A Book)
Writing Prompts are an extra 3 points each as well! (HAS TO BE OVER 78+ WORDS)
E) Extra 5 points if your birthday happens to land in September, October, or November! (Not just a one time log.)
